This series of Mammatus clouds where taken on December 27 2004 just as a really big summer thunderstorm had formed over my house. From what I read, the Mammatus clouds are caused by ice in the clouds becoming heavy and causing the cloud to sag. A very rare site! EOS 20D. When the FIRST universe was created, it was PERFECT. Perfect in all terms of it’s existence and behavior. Laws of MATTER and LIFE had perfection, so were predictable. Species lived PERFECT life and the nature had predictable perfection in her growth. These universes were short lived and were unstable as the PERFECT laws destoyed them easily. The purpose of creating the universe was lost….... The UNCERTAINTY factor was created after deep process and it has gifted EVOLUTION. Transformation from one form to other, one life to other became EASY & NATURAL. Now, the universes survived LONG enough to serve the PURPOSE. This thought reflects behavior & role of Brahman which supports the process creation and Maya who balances the the divine play to satisfy the PURPOSE behind. Like an individual every universe has it’s own LIFE and so the PURPOSE. We believe there are many, many universes LIKE US. These thoughts again APPEARED in my mind looking after these Gerbera petals, reflecting the process of DIVINE CREATION on the larger time scale – larger than a single human life or generation or even beyond our today’s excellence in knowledge. I belive it’s just in bits against the scale of Divine play. Visit my Bubblesite for comprehensive viewing of my images. Equipment : Canon EOS 400D

The rocky beach in Walkerville in Victoria, Australia. For this shot I wanted really long exposures in order to get the water milky white. I stacked ND8 and a polarising filter, used the smallest aperture and stabilised the camera on a tripod. This allowed me to expose for 60 seconds even though the early sun was quite bright. Another view of Poulnabrone Dolmen (Poll na mBrón in Irish meaning “hole of sorrows”) an ancient portal tomb in the Burren, County Clare, Ireland. Dating back to the Neolithic period (between 4200 BC to 2900 BC), it consists of a twelve foot tabular capstone supported by two slender portal stones, and is bordered by a nearby cairn. / Excavations during the 1980s found at least 22 adults and children buried under the monument. Personal items buried with the dead included a polished stone axe, a bone pendant, quartz crystals, weapons and pottery. In the Bronze Age, around 1700BC, a newborn baby was buried in the portico, just outside the entrance. With its dominating presence on the limestone landscape of the Burren area, the tomb must have remained a center for ceremony and ritual until well into the Celtic period. Had the pleasure this week to be asked to take the Graduation photos for Tayla, herself a talented young photographer. She looked stunning and the colours worked well against the bleakness of the old building that her parents lease for their heavy equipment. Another attempt at something a little bit different for me. I generally stick to colour, but I thought I would try converting a few of my images into mono. The original colour version is below (click on the colour image to view it properly). This shot is taken from the North Bridge entrance to the Scotsman Building (once the headquarters for the Scotsman newspaper, but now the 5 star Scotsman Hotel). Looking past the City Art Centre on the left, to the Bank of Scotland Building with its distinctive green dome. Situated on the Mound, the former Bank of Scotland headquarters, now headquarters of the merged HBOS, has dominated the northern flank of Edinburgh’s Old Town for 300 years. The Bank of Scotland Building is an Historic Scotland Category A Listed Building (HB Number 28263). Behind the Bank of Scotland Building you can see a small part of the magnificent Edinburgh Castle on top of the rock. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city of Edinburgh like no other castle in Scotland, and Edinburgh Castle is unequalled in the whole of the British Isles. Over one thousand years of history sit on top of the famous Edinburgh rock.
