A profile of my friend Sophie which is often my model. This is a watercolor on paper (Arches cold press 300 lb) , the hands and swimsuit are drawn after with watercolor crayon. It’s mixed media, mixed feelings, mixed everything…
Transparent watercolor on cold-pressed 140lb paper. Ordinarily I paint from life or more commonly from my own photographs. But the photo I based this painting on was taken by Charlena of RedBubble as part of the Just Kickin Back challenge in the Just Watercolours Group. The painting is almost entirely poured. I’ve posted a demonstration of the pouring process on my my blog, Art in the Making.

Mixed Media on Canvas
This is a group for those artists out there whose work, focuses on figure and faces, as their MAIN subject within the piece.
Within this genre, the group is aimed towards artists whose work is created using traditional mediums and processes
I created this group with my fine art experiences in mind. i would like to see work focusing on formal elements such as line, light, composition, use of media, colour, i don’t want to see the traditional..(no offence) but boring everyday style portrait, we want to see new approaches that widen our knowledge and experiences of what can be created and captured.
This is a perfect group for us to explore each others work and techniques and discover how different the approaches can be for such a widely covered subject.
Fine Art approaches to Figure and Face is just one of 1710 creative groups powered by RedBubble.
RedBubble is the place to share your creative genius with the world through art, photography, design and writing.
