Transparent watercolor on cold-pressed 140lb paper. Ordinarily I paint from life or more commonly from my own photographs. But the photo I based this painting on was taken by Charlena of RedBubble as part of the Just Kickin Back challenge in the Just Watercolours Group. The painting is almost entirely poured. Mentally created artwork is nothing more than mental masturbation.

Fair note:
We mean FEELING, not an emotion, not an attempt to describe some emotion.
FEELING, like a primary reaction you see an image, your mental analysis (conscious or unconscious) comes later.
It is easy to spot “mentally created” artworks, as they do not contain that Original – we can kind of say – “invisible source” or flow… inspiration… you know…
If you THINK, you are going to give a message with you image, ie: “This is sadness”,
you’ve screwed it up already…
And that’s why the name of th group: FEEL, Don’t Copy.
Most of the people on this planet are “copycats”, and we want to see The Artists, and their ArtWorks.
In other words: Be Real.
There will be no discussions about disapprovals, so submit with your own risk.
We are not looking for “provocative shock effects”, they are based on mentality.
