my original impression was to turn this to a monotone and it looks good that way, there is a lot of contrast in the sky, water and shadows. But the colour of the evening is lost, that desaturation made by the long shadows as the lowering sun makes it’s influence known. olympus e410 / zuiko digital 1:2.8/25mm pancake prime. A cold evening after a spell of rain left the cloudy sky moving quickly in front of a bright moon. I used a sixty second exposure to capture this movement whilst the pier lights shine on! / Taken with my G1on 4-11-09
I came across this scene at the beach today .. the family were packing up to leave but waited for me to capture a few shots first .. filters added and background noise cloned out to get a more soft nostalgic feel :)
