A5 Card. Mainly iron, with some stylus highlights. / Who knows what lies beneath the red dust clouds of Mars? I have always had a love of astronomy & wanted to try some pieces based on the universe & beyond.
*All through the ages pools, lakes, sacred wells and springs have all been invested with magical properties and believed to be the dwelling places of the gods. Water is a universal symbol for the Soul and is represented by different moods and qualities. It can be gentle like rain and as hard as ice. In this painting using wax the Water Bird has arrived, to be refreshed and to return to its real state of purity by washing away the debit of the past. And it’s not even called a wood duck because it looks like wood, it’s because it lives in the woods….. (Think I’ll go and have a nice lie down now :S) A4’ish waxes, iron and stylus….
