Group Rules:
VISION
the Eating Strawberries Gallery of gothic,grunge, physcadelic, wierd & absurd strives to provide hard working artists with the exposure they deserve by providing an online gallery space. an artist will be given a solo show every month and it shall be given the same credibility as if it were a real space, so that emerging artists can begin thier reputable careers in the gallery system.
1. by joining the group, you (the artist) would then understand that there would be a blog or website outside the bubble, that would also be the online gallery, that your work would then be showcased on (twice the exsposure)if you are asked to exhbit (featured).
2.add as many works as you want! the more the better.
works must be %100 yours, as you cannot answer for another person except yourself.
this means:
no collaborations
no digital works that DONT have stock credits in your desciption (if its your own, then say so)
no images straight from google
3. you have to come up with an artist statement (min 100 words, max 500 words) which you can do when/if you are featured to go with your show
4. be either willing to let you work be saved or send to either of us (the hosts) small files, aprox. 500kb big, to then post on the gallery site.
5.add anything and everything that you are proud of, but pretty please no: untasteful nudes or progressive peices (this includes collaborations, painting/drawing progressions, multiples of one image regardless of whether the colour is changed)
HOSTS PROMISE
1.we promise to once a month we discuss artists that we’ve noticed (like gallery curators do), and then feature one on RB.
2.We promise to help advise and teach artists about the gallery system through forum topics and personal guidance with your own show.
3.We promise to give everyone a fair go
this gallery for everyone: digital, manipulations, wierd, phycadelic ect- stuff that isnt considered a traditional or “exhibitable” medium, as they are worth noticing and exhibiting too.
