But East Maui volcano has witnessed at least ten eruptions in the past 1,000 years. It is the giant volcano that peaks out at over 10,000 feet and looms over Maui. Haleakala last erupted in the 1790s. It is 33 miles wide and 24 miles long, and the main crater is 7.5 miles long and 2.5 miles wide. / Photo taken at sunrise. There is an area around the viewing points at Derwent reservoir and Derwent dam, in Derbyshire’s Peak District, England. I took this picture of the steps that lead down to one of the many fabulous views around the dam on my day out with fellow Redbubbler and friend Jason Connolly. It was a fabulous afternoon out. I decided to use my 45mm Tilt-Shift lens to create this wonderful surreal depth of field, to give it a mysterious and dreamy atmosphere. I do love looking at steps and how they are designed. Some with gentle slopes, and some hard and steep. Some sweep around whilst others are simple and straight forward. Each have different character. What I love about these are the bits of life that are growing in all the nooks. These concrete steps are full of life. Wedding at St Luke’s Church, West Norwood, London. 7th Nov 2009. / Bethany was a bridesmaid at Steph’s Wedding. I was intrigued to see her running up and down with such intense concentration upon her face. Her Grandmother told me later that she’d asked Bethany what she was doing and she replied, I’m just running, I’m just running. / When I got home a looked at this one she appeared to be floating. Marvellous what kids {Angels} can do:-) LOL. Camera Nikon D700 with 24-120mm Lense. /
Steph has never modeled before and decided to spend her day in Melbourne’s docklands as the focus for my creativity. I have always loved walking through the docklands area. It is full of contemporary architecture, sculptures and colour. There are an endless array of opportunities for fashion photography. / Shoot photographed using Nikon D700, 28-70mm 2.8 and 50mm 1.4 lenses. Many of my modeling portfolios are in my new 2010 Calendar. Check it out by following this link:
