Originally impressionism was that the colour should be dropped pure on the canvas rather than mixed on the palette. Today, now that we have so many new paints and mediums to work with, while the original concept of impressionism remains the same, styles and techniques have evolved. / My style of Impressionism embraces traditional painting. It is the evolution of impressionism that i am hoping to achieve, from the original traditional techniques of impressionist painting all the way to this modern impressionist digital art which can be stylized and painterly depending on my subject and mood. Two superb painters that are very much different in style.
Tom’s Style leans more towars the Matte/Illustrative style and Heathers is more varied´encompassing a few different stules but at times with a very surreal edge to it.
It goes without sayimg that a visit tto both galleries is highly recommended.

This group is exclusively for people who paint in the digital medium. Ideally you will paint with Painter, Photoshop or ArtRage.
The focus of the group centers around work done using brush work and not images manipulated and overlaid with filters. Digital Artwork this may be but digital brushstrokes they are not
Manga and Anime, Vectors, Straight Photomanipulations, Tag Art, Emo Art, Pixel Art, Photography etc are NOT welcome in this group. Nor are works that are clearly engineered through the use of filters of blends… They do not amount to brushed paintings
The Group Hosts will have sole discretion as to what is and is not ultimately accepted into the group and reserve the right to reject work without comment or comeback from the submitter.
