Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb / Hello. / Is there anybody in there? / Just nod if you can hear me. / Is there anyone home? Come on, now. / I hear youre feeling down. / Well I can ease your pain, / Get you on your feet again. Relax. / I need some information first. / Just the basic facts: / Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding. / A distant ships smoke on the horizon. / You are only coming through in waves. / Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin. / When I was a child I had a fever. / My hands felt just like two balloons. / Now I got that feeling once again. / I cant explain, you would not understand. / This is not how I am. / I have become comfortably numb. Ok. / Just a little pinprick. [ping] / Therell be no more—aaaaaahhhhh! / But you may feel a little sick. Can you stand up? / I do believe its working. good. / Thatll keep you going for the show. / Come on its time to go. There is no pain, you are receding. / A distant ships smoke on the horizon. / You are only coming through in waves. / Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin. / When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse, / Out of the corner of my eye. / I turned to look but it was gone. / I cannot put my finger on it now. / The child is grown, the dream is gone. / I have become comfortably numb
Saved from Death and worse than death; / Another soul to live! / Our Sister Susan, here, draws breath; / For you were kind to give. Poem® 19 Nov 2009, Dayonda Stribling / www.redbubble.com / __ When we first met Susan on a mission to a rural village in Central Desert Africa in April 2007, she was in the later stages of death. Her body was infested with intestinal worms. Medicines would not work. I prayed for her in the village, along with two other mission volunteers. We left to continue our journey. But God spoke to me, and we returned that evening and put her in our old battered vehicle and brought her to our mission centre. We continued to pray and command death to leave her alone. 5 days later and God had completely healed her. Now as you see, Susan is completely healed. / She shares her testimony with us on missions into other villages and many have also received healing and hope. Praise God! Please help us to continue to reach others in need and extreme poverty. ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF MY ART, PLUS DONATIONS MADE TO PHILADELPHIA MISSION CHARITY, GOES TO HELP EXTREME POOR AND SICK IN REMOTE AND RURAL VILLAGES IN AFRICA. A Parents Prayer for their sick child. / (2 Samuel 12:22) David answered: While he was still alive, I went without food and cried because there was still hope. I said to myself, “Who knows? Maybe the LORD will have pity on me and let the child live.” / I am an Irish born Missionary living in London I spend much time living with the Kambari tribe, I get to know first hand the challenges they face each day just to survive. I also have the privilege of capturing not only hunger, sickness and often death, but the more happy occasions. This is Grace, and when I first met Grace in April 2007, she was suffering from Chronic Malnutrition, adn intestinal worm infection. This was taken in December 2007, and the difference in 2009 is wonderful. Thank you to all who prayed and donated towards saving Grace. Please do Pray for these precious suffering people in extreme poverty and for us as we press on in our mission to help them. I believe in the power of Prayer and a mighty God. I was born in Northern Ireland and now live in London. I have been a missionary now for 15 years. I painted this painting for a disabled client that i work with. when she is sad or frustrated she sings frere Jacques, then the staff stand around her asking her what is wrong she keeps humming the tune and then we clap and sing the tune with her, before you know it she is clapping and smiling along with us. Frere Jacques featured in first thing group.
This group is to bring together members who can heal and who may need some light in their life.
Our group goals are:
1. We do not want to be another group for dumping any and all art.
2. We want this sight to be a place of support for artists that make serving others, the creatures on this planet, and the Earth apart of their lives. As well as a place for artists in need of help, healing, rejuvenating.
3. We wish to build up a data bank of information that supports these goals and we need everyone interested in such things to contribute their knowledge to the forums and to upload their ART inspired by this INTENT!
Keep positive! The more you put it out the more it will return!
