This is another family living in poverty stricken Tunga/Zuga Village. These people cannot afford clothing or basic items. These clothes were given to them by a Missionary several years ago. They have been handed down, mended, washed and worn out till there are large holes in the cloth. On top of not having clothing, they do not have enough food. And not one of these children shown here have gone to school. They cannot afford it. Sickness is common here. Cholera, Polio, River Blindness, Rickets, Diarrhoea, Intestinal Worm Infection and Chronic Malnutrition is common. They are in remote villages and often cannot get transportation to hospitals. But even if they could get to a hospital, without money they most likely would not get the proper treatment, if any. / There is no Electricity and there are no sanitary toilets here, and just one small radio to entertain the whole family. If you think you are poor, then compare what you have against what they have: / 1. Dirty, infectious water that boiling can’t fix / 2. No sanitary toilet facilities / 3. No replacement clothing, and holes in what they now wear / 4. Poor, low-quality food, and not enough of it / 5. Very high infant death rate and early childhood death rate. Also, adults die young in these remote villages. / 6. Rickets, Polio, intestinal worms and bacterial infections, and other diseases of which we see little of in most other areas of the World. / 7. No schooling, illiteracy is profound here. And no skills training. No basic personal hygene is availabe, so little to none is practiced. / 8. Electricity will have to wait awhile, here. / As poor as one can be in developed countries, there is little or nothing like the poverty here in Africa! It tears my heart out to see these children. +To make a donation, or find out more, please visit our Charity Mission website:http://www.philadelphia33.org/ / PLEASE VISIT MY NEW PRO WEBSITE”:http://www.missionary.smugmug.com/ Camera: Canon EOS400D. PLEASE READ THIS. / [I miss Grace and all the children so much!] Today I was looking through some images I had stored on a Memory stick. I forgot I had them until I found the stick when cleaning out my Computer drawer. For those of you who have seen the Photographs of Grace, you will recognise her in this one. / This was taken just after she was very ill and vomited worms due to Intestinal worm infection, mainly caused by the village not having any clean water. In 1995 I dedicated the remainder of my life to helping these poor and sick children in remote villages. My passion and love for the extreme poor is from God. Its not something I chose to do for I would not have chosen to go to hot, dusty remote villages where there is extreme poverty, no clean water, no sanitation and profound isolation. It is God that works in and through me. I decided to upload this, although it is almost a year old now, to show just how much these children suffer and how just a few dollars can save them. Grace is a success story because of those here at RB who have donated money to her via our charity website and purchased her photographs. / The twins, David, Samuel, Martha, Mary Angelina and others also are alive and some are going to school now because of your Love , prayers and donations. * I thank each and everyone of you and really appreciate all that you have done and are doing to strengthen my arm and that of the small team at our Misison center here in UN and in Africa and India. You’re all so precious to me and the villagers know that you have helped. There are many more yet in great and terrible need. Please do what you can to help them. / I am returning to the remote villages on 19th November, 2009, a year since this was taken of Grace. I will be taking more of her and all the children that are still alive. God Bless you all. This group is to bring together members who can heal and who may need some light in their life.
Our group goals are:
1. We do not want to be another group for dumping any and all art.
2. We want this sight to be a place of support for artists that make serving others, the creatures on this planet, and the Earth apart of their lives. As well as a place for artists in need of help, healing, rejuvenating.
3. We wish to build up a data bank of information that supports these goals and we need everyone interested in such things to contribute their knowledge to the forums and to upload their ART inspired by this INTENT!
Keep positive! The more you put it out the more it will return!
