In photography as in life its amazing how a little time can soften blows. Here a pounding swell is softened against the rocks with a 30 second time exposure . The colours remain but the sharpness is gone from the water detail. / The shadows are a distraction but I love the colours and their contrast with each other. Not a bad practice shot for a semi-new type of photography for me. My first shot with the new “black glass” filter. Here we stand under the Eifel Tower, Paris, capital of France, during sunset. I think it is much prettier to see it during twilight or complete night than during the day. The lights are so beautiful.. ;) / France February 2009 Featured in Day Hikes, thank you ! ;))
Taken at Southwold Harbour 12.9. 09 There was so much to look at today when Simon and I arrived at Southwold on th search for some Lunch. The light was beautiful and it was quiet. I loved the inside of the boat and all the peeling paint work. The structure reminded me of a Rib cage. My Nursing background coming into play. A White Tail Doe was watching me on the Oneota Nature Trail along the Upper Iowa River in northeast Iowa. Isn’t she beautiful!? I especially love her gentle eyes.

This photo is straight from the camera. As Is Whilst out with my friend and fellow Redbubbler Jason Connolly photographing the Derwent reservoir in Derbysire’s Peak District, England, we spent a lengthy time photographing Derwent dam and the surrounding area. We also spotted this lovely out flow of water into the Derwent reservoir. This water comes from the Ashop river which runs through Snake Valley. This stream is part of that river, making its way through the mountain from the river on the other side through this water way tunnel and then out into the Derwent. There is a dam 10 ft. dam on the river side which is still in partial use, although the river is allowed to continue on to the Ladybower reservoir as well. The concrete table here creates this beautiful cascade of water. Canon EOS-1Ds Mark ll / 28-300mm IS zoom lens / f/22 / Shutter speed: 2.5 seconds / ISO 125
The Board Walk was taken at the Mississauga Rotary Club Marsh Lands Park. Located behind the Jack Darling Park in the south western area of Mississauga, Ontario., Canada. / While out walking with my best friend and greatest fan Jacqueline. / We stoped for a while to enjoy the scene and for me to take few photographs. / I like the way this scene look and felt when I pictured it framed and hung on a wall in my home….if it doesn’t sell out first….lol / The board walks are suspend over most of the marsh lands area. I was told that it was done this way to protect the plants and to increase the view. ======================================= Taken with: Kodak C653 (Pocket Digital Cam.) / Tripod mounted. / Noise reduction & processing done with: Corel paint Shop Pro X2.

How would I not be able to take this. LOL This if i recall correctly is the outercase of what the water wheel turns round in, I loved the nuts and bolts protruding through the wood and the damp moss hanging onto all areas it could, such a wonderful thing close up this image does not do it justice. Taken at Bressingham Garden and Steam Museum near Diss Norfolk 9.5.09 This wonderful lady i first noticed getting onto the galopers as Simon and I were sitting having a mug of tea. As she went up to the ride i thought there was no way she would get up on the horses. But she was not getting on for the ride but to collect the fares from the riders on the ride. This was taken as she was getting off the ride ready for the next lot of customers to get on. Just a quick point and shoot as feel uncomfortable taking people photos but could not resist this. I would of liked to of processed it differently knew what i would of liked in my head but do not have the knowledge as yet to do it. Located near White Pass Summit, British Columbia, Canada on the Klondike Highway. The Tormented Valley contains large areas having an almost “lunar” appearance, making this one of the most unique eco-systems in North America. Here you will explore a forest-tundra ecotone consisting of the blending of a stunted forest of three hundred year old trees, known as “krummholz”, and alpine tundra. / As I took photos in this area, I stared at the appearance of the tiny trees and rock surface like it was from outer space.
