Like sand falling through an hourglass
A day will come and years will pass.
Everything you do and say
are seeds you plant along the way.
The seeds will blossom into a flower
as life takes you through it…
I Peaked Through The Keyhole On Christmas Eve
I peaked through the keyhole,
Of my parent’s door.
Placed a wooden box,
To reach up from the floor.
At first I was very curious,
Because I wanted to know.
True love is like a bicycle made for two
Warm breeze through your hair
With not even the slightest bit of fear
That the one riding with you
Is going somewhere
We love our little dainty kiddies
Full of life so pep and skittish
I did not know that I would call you Munchie…
Or that I would dance with you, everyday
Smelling your head like a bed of memories and what’s-to-be’…
The summer’s gone
What’s said is said
You spoke to me
With a parrot head
I professed my love
And you did too
Then I gave you a treat
And away you flew
No scurrilous mass, no hard candied one legged sucker
(Artificially sweetened I might add)
Was going to steal my sweet water treasure.
“When I go outside, I play with ants.”
“They crawl on my shoes and on my pants.”
“They can go outside but now I can’t.”
To put your errors right we must
Wear our bodies down to dust.
Thus in serving you we die.
So while we’re living kindly try,
Not to slice us into shreds;
A torture every rubber dreads!
Nor is it kind…
Soon the world will be mine
Said the hamster to the cream
Coloured cat. A mouthful later
And the dream was little more than that.
