Written purely for Creepy Writers Inc and my first attempt at a story with a little bit of blood…enjoy!
Submitted as a part of my year twelve english studies work in 2009. Earned a grade of 20 out of 20. / Loosely based on the poem ‘What the scientists did to William Lanney” / Please fell free to make your comments on the piece, and please give your mark out of twenty. Any suggestions will be taken on board, as i need to edit it to submit to sace.
I wrote this short story (purely fiction I must add) a couple of years ago. It is a little longer than the collaborations I have been doing with other artists lately but if you like my work you may just like this. It has a theme running through it which you’ll recognise so I won’t spoil it for you here. Just read it with an open mind and enjoy it and if you want to comment on it after please feel free to. I do so appreciate what you have to say and want to thank you for taking the time to read it. / Anthony Hedger

Leave the Light On…don’t know just which is worse / to lay down and die / or go out in a hearse.
recently written/recorded song—-forgot the chords and unfortunately its my favorite tune that I’ve written…sad sad, either way at least I have it recorded on my music page (see my profile for the link)
A haunting truth awaits. A grim realization will come, no matter how hard he runs!
Vampire Bride
Featured in / Out of the Blue He was an evil being, the source of much sadness, / That drove many past the brink of madness. Down by the water’s edge, his hands and feet tightly bound, / They tossed his evil body in, and waited for him to drown. As he felt the water fill his lungs, panic started setting in, / He knew his soul was going to hell, and he swore he’d come back again. For an eternity he’s felt the flames of hell burning away his skin, / Through the torture and the pain, he couldn’t remember his sins. He had to escape, he had to get out. / How would he do it? What would be his planned route? And then he saw it-the path he would take, / Through the innocence of youth, his escape he would make. From a child’s backyard pool he would rise. / Oh, he was so clever. He felt so wise. As the water filled, it created a wave, / And he made his way, Out of His Watery Grave. / / I’ve been told that I have a way of finding really strange things in some of my images. In case this image doesn’t make sense to you, the poem above is “Out of his Watery Grave” because I see the middle brightest line in the image as a spine and rib cage leading to a skull, which is the inspiration for the poem. Please let me know if any of you see what I see. Thanks, Shellie / Fuji FinePixS2Pro / Sigma 18-50mm @ 18mm / f~5.6 1/125 sec. ISO-100 contrast minimally adjusted using Kai’s Photo Soap

Ever look around a book store and say… “Damn i cannot find a single good horror book.” well that’s most likely because in my opinion the best horror stories are short, sweet, and simple. And they don’t think that’s good enough to publish, into …mini-books? Feel free to come in, have fun, and show off your writing abilities! (also accepting photo’s of the same genre(can accompany your story))
