ABOUT THIS GROUP

A certain style of home and/or garden that is cozy and of a particular character. It will vary somewhat from country to country, but it will always be charming and fanciful and often will be surrounded by picket fences, garden gates and flower boxes. This group will include the exterior architectural style of cottage, interior designs and gardens that are of a “cottage” style and ambiance. Interiors might include lace curtains, French doors, bead-board, charming teddy bear settings or shabby chic interior designs with white washed furniture and big cabbage roses in floral designs. They can be rustic or elegant, seaside, village or on the mountain. It is a timeless style and always speaks to the heart. It is also a way of living and a frame of mind. Add a few charmingly captured cats, dogs, sheep, geese or chickens and you will get that sense of cottage and that home grown feeling that gives us a sense of coming home.
