About Jax of DreddArt

1. I have been a working artist since completing a degree in FineArt Printmaking in 1994
2. My main works are what I have named Emotional Expressionism
3. Raw often hardhitting Portraits
4. Influenced by the Alternative and ‘Rave/Techno Club Culture
5. I worked as a Venue Manager and Club Promoter for quite some time and my work was often inspired by what/who I saw around me.
6. My work varies in size from 2”x2” to 12ftx12ft

Goals and Desires
I really want to sell some of my older original art as it seems such a shame for it to be hidden away in my garage unseen and unloved :(
To at long last be given the opportunity to do what I know I can do well and run a bar/music venue
To become a Tattoist as well as Tattoo designer … this looks set to happen in very near future :)

Imagination and Inspiration
I have always found it difficult to define my art and why I do what I do. It is just me
I have struggled with life for a variety of reasons from being an educationally unsupported young gifted and talented child to being a too trusting, incredibly unlucky adult! So unfortunately the majority of emotions portrayed in my work are on the darker side… Although there are some dealing with lifes highs also…

Me and Life
I have dreddlocks over a metre long – with shaved to bone sides
Tattoos on arms, shoulders, neck and top half of back – soon to be many more!
I have been know by friends and family alike as Jax Dredd for 14 years
and MrsDredd online for some 10 years now
Dredded Promotions is my Club and Events Name

What I do and have done
I worked as a Live Music Venue Promoter and Manager from 1995-2001
A Club Night / Events promoter ongoing all though no active ongoing events right now
I love to be The Hostess With The Mostess
