From a new series where my friend Ove and I work to express the deepest emotions, both positive and “negative”. / Nikon D300 and flashlights are our tools. We try to keep the Photoshop-work to a minimum to not loose the ethereal energy the method some times captures. Inspired by Ane Bruns song A Temporary Dive Lyrics I fell down in that hole again / I am a lump of jelly / I am a dead fish I look up at the blue sky / Aand I know that it’s just / A temporary dive Sometimes we tip toe / Sometimes we run / Sometimes we wander while / Looking at the sun / Sometimes we tip toe / Sometimes we run / Sometimes we wander while / Looking at the sun Sitting on the cold dirt floor / I want to finish the counting of days on the walls / I build a ladder from broken wish bones / And square-shaped stones / That my friends threw down in the hole Sometimes we tip toe / Sometimes we run / Sometimes we wander while / Looking at the sun / Sometimes we tip toe / Sometimes we run / Sometimes we wander while / Looking at the sun And even though I read maps to avoid them / They change location every day / And somehow all of my traces they vanish / But shall one stay put / Shall one lay low / Shall one not go / Just to avoid this hole Sometimes we tip toe / Sometimes we run / Sometimes we wander while / Looking at the sun / Sometimes we tip toe / Sometimes we run / Sometimes we wander while / Looking at the sun
The original painting is a 5×7 miniature work done with pencil and acrylic paint. This is a “free association” work that I did while watching the SciFi Channel’s mini-series “Tin Man”, which was a modern re-working of “The Wizard of Oz”. Dorothy’s face has merged with the tornado to dance across this checked game board in this surrealist image that I hope you will enjoy.

How can you win the war, / when the enemy is from within? / How can you free your mind, / from the battlefield of sin? From the trenches of the soul, / to the frontline of the heart. / A million forgotten casualties, / lay doomed right from the start.

Soul Severe.…Helpless. / Powerful. / Running wild. / Weak and strong. / An Earthbound child.
This was written on 12th August 2009 while sitting in a small waiting room on the 4th floor of the Southort Magistrates court. In this room with me were my son, his father, my daughter and 2 other boys and their mothers. As well as a lady from P.A.C.T. (Protect All Children Today) We were all there together on that day as the boys, my daughter and my son were to give their video evidence in a separate room from the actual court room against a man who, in November last year was charged with eleven counts of dealings with a child under 16. Six of those charges are to do with my son. This man was my employer. There is another boy involved, he was not required that day. This man touched my son and made sexually explicit comments to the other boys. Soul severe was born from the raging emotions I had clawing their way up through my body ripping me to shreds along the way as I sat in that room. For my boy, for the other boys and for the little girl in me who never had her own voice. Needless to say a copious amount of Jack Daniel’s did help me to somewhat sedate my inner rampaging fury. And the urge to throw this motherfucker over the glass barriers of the 4th floor to his demise on the tiled floor below. / He continues to be out on bail. I continue to want to smash him in the throat with my bare fist and tear his fucken heart out with my bare hands. That is where “Soul Severe” comes from.
Simply, where there is life there is dialogue, and when we talk there is always the chance we can find some other way.

I was vaguely remembering Kierkegaard, talking of the loss of self and it got me thinking of the many different ways we find that we have given away our power or sense of identity, or maybe lose it along the way. This is just one of those many ways.
From the Wonder Museum of eLand LeKtal, this image was captured by the Telescopia of Fractalicus during a rainbow shower caused by the Comet Saharan in the strewnfields of Dar al Gani. The dust particles that caused the meteor shower creating this image is of leftover debris from this passing comet. As the comet traveled close to the 6th Sun, its icy surface melted and left behind a cloud of dust. Psychodelica – Kaleidoscope started in Incendia the taken into Photoshop and PWP. Used the Fractalius filter on various layers using blend modes. – – – – – - / – – – - / Light and Day – by Polyphonic Spree

Please have a look at our Obama section below. We want to chronicle this significant event in history. But there was also a new minister appointed in South Korea and a new minister for defence in Turkmenistan. The Obama section is now updated and tidied.
Ethos:
We have two hosts who are diametrically opposed in their spiritual beliefs and who have become friends over a period of time in RB. The science Vs religion debate is raging around the world right now and we can’t solve it so we wanted to create a place where both sides can coexist through something common, a love of art. And to promote both science and religion without putting either down. Nobody is wrong here.
We’re for those who are passionate about their religion and their science, and this is not the place for debate between the two camps (or any camps)
We would like all art to have either the theme of religion or science but its not absolute, if you have something cool you’d like to show us all we’ll have it. We do like when people explain their work also.
And obviously anybody fucking around will be cautioned and/or booted out
and bad language is allowed, (its Irish custom) but no being nasty to anybody’s God or son of God or pantheon of Gods or whatever. Any inflammatory remarks concerning anybody’s passion or deeply held beliefs will not be tolerated.
