1. Please Introduce yourself:
My name is Barbara, I’m an architect and I live in a coastal town in the North West of Italy.
I started photographing during my youth and my passion for it keeps growing.
Photography is a means to express myself, to show my interpretation of reality.
I love photography, I photograph because I like it, I enjoy it, I am excited to discover new subjects.

2. What inspires your Photography?
There is beauty in the simplicity of everyday life… I try to capture it through my photographs.
Everything I see around me, this attract me: objects that are considered mundane or that go unnoticed, details, play of light and shadow… and of course the sea.
My images are simple, minimalist and I’m interested especially in the composition.

3. What would you say is your main focus within Photography (i.e. Floral Landscape)?
II don’t have a main focus as I feel that this limits me.
I just photograph everything, everywhere…..all that I see.

4. What type of camera equipment do you use?
I started many years ago with a fully manual SLR, which was then followed by other more “modern” ones.
A few years ago I switched to digital, first a compact, then a SLR.
I’m not interested in brands or fashions: the cameras and accessories that I use should be simple and functional for my needs.
I think that the Photography is not related to a medium, but mainly arises from the eye, the mind and the sensitivity of the creator.

5. Did you, and to what extent, use photo editing software (i.e. Photoshop)?
The transition to digital has allowed me to experiment with new subjects and techniques.
I finally managed to recreate the conditions of light and color that were present at the moment of the capture, simply using a few commands on PS (Elements)
I have recently fallen in love with textures, it adds a different feeling to my usual photos.

6. What great tips could you pass along to fellow Photographers?
a) One never stops learning.
b) The Photography is technique and creativity.
c) In Photography there are people who can see and others do not even know to look. (Nadar)

Thank you for your attention and sorry for my poor English.
Ciao.
