About This Group

The aim of this group is to promote intellectual conceptual photography that relates to our modern and post modern times, our “zeitgeist”, and to focus on the relationships that photography can create between the art and the viewer. A secondary aim is to show how these relationships can be developed using both single works of photographic art and series of photographic artworks that share a common conceptual thread. When I say “conceptual” I mean the photographer’s developed intellectual concept, as opposed to another person’s idea or commonly held topical idea that the photographer wishes to document.
This is not a group for essentially journalistic, street, or abstract photography.
