Albion Truck that used to deliver around my town. Before my time i like to add. / As featured in Commercial Vehicles.
Before the opening of the M6 motorway there was a notorious climb just North of Kendal on the old A6 to Scotland and here we see an AEC artic of Spiers Transport nearing Shap summit Northbound in typical weather conditions. The original of this painting was in oils on a 20”x30” board. A painting like this of your favourite vehicle, British or American, in oils on canvas or board would cost about £1000. This lovely truck belongs to a friend of mine
Some trucks were just built to work and this is true of the old Chevrolets. They were built tough and worked hard and it’s amazing how many of these old beauties are still on the road and going strong.
This photo was taken outside Beechworh Bakery in Echuca, Victoria. I thought it would look a little better with a bit of HDR treatment in photoshop.
This happened to Mike on one of his trips to Broken Hill in New South Wales. The weather at the time was 43oC and he had to change a blown tyre on his rig. Not a happy chappy I can tell ya.!
1950 Ford F-100 pick-up restored to perfection! Bet the paint didn’t look this good 59 years ago! But then again, neither do I. Cruisin for a Cure, Costa Mesa, CA Nikon D40, Nikkor 18-55 @ 18mm, Auto, Aperture priority
In 1975 Bill Fries (a.k.a. CW McCall) recorded a song that swept the USA. It was called “Convoy” and birthed new catch phrases like, “Breaker, breaker…” and “10-4 Rubber Ducky.” I recently entered this in to a photo assignment for PhotographyBB E-mag. The theme was Song Titles. Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT / Exposure:1.3 / Aperture: f/2.8 / Focal Length: 33 mm / ISO Speed: 100
The camera that I used was a Canon Rebel XT the len that I used was a Canon 55mm to 200 mm. This pic. was taken from the dash of the car at Nellis sand dunes DELOREAN CANNON pics tada :) / My son Delorean took this photo…
Title refers to the old bed spring side rails.. This old 30’s era Ford dump truck has seen better days..Image taken in Virginia City, Nevada.. Canon Rebel T1-i w/Canon 18-55 IS lens.. thanks for lookin…=D
Number 8 in the Rugged Rig Series. This white cabover Freightliner is done up with a black light feel. I thought it only appropriate as this well used rig is right out of that period in time. I hope you enjoy the latest addition to the Rugged Rigs.
I found this old 1940s era Diamond T truck rusting away off Highway 99 near Hubbard, Oregon. I couldn’t find out anything about the old company name, Mother Hubbard’s Classics, painted on the side of the truck. Someone used to love her, though, because those wire rims were definitely not standard issue. I wish someone would turn her back into the “Classic” she claims to be. All you beer drinkers, come visit Hubbard, Oregon, the hops capitol of the United States. Hubbard has the same growing climate as found in the hop growing regions of Germany, allowing it to produce premium crops…. which explains why the Portland area has more micro-breweries than anywhere in the country. And rescue a champion truck!
