Nothing like being part of the shot..!!..Similar to a shot I uploaded a short time back, well similar but very different..I love this one due to full water surge rising over the rock shelf…tripod firmy planted to prevent movement in this long exposure..nothing like getting your feet wet and being amongst it all…..thanks for looking and comments always appreciated…cheers, Rob.
Mt. Tom, Mt. Basin, Mt. Humphreys and the Eastern Sierras reflecting at sunset. This is a shot I have been trying to get for some time now. It is incredibly hard to get the perfect mixture of clouds and no wind in this area at the same time. I was very lucky to capture this perfect mirror or my favorite mountains. Serene late afternoon with some nice warm glowy light. The low lying mountains of Norhtern Wilsons Promontory on the horizon. This area in Corner Inlet is often serene due to being nicely protected from the big Bass Straight swells that effect the ocean beaches. Thanks for looking, comments most welcome….cheers, Rob.

Definately the best time to fish, the fish are hunting for dinner, and the fading light makes it harder for them to see you. the big fish have learnt over their life, to watch for the shadows on the shore. This guy was fishing in the deep gutter you see to the left of the shot, the incomming tide fills these gutters, and is a hot spot for fishing. The beautiful sunset just adds to the experience. Sunshine Beach, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Canon 5D Mk II, 35mm. Available large, and best viewed large!

Taken last night at a camra club outing at Point Lonsdale. / This was taken about 20 minutes after sunset
Taken at dawn, Wellington Point in Queensland. / About two weeks ago the sun was rising pretty much right in the centre of the pier. This is a blend of two exposures, I set up the Pentax K20D on a tripod with an NDX400 & ND8 grad filter and took a shot at 25 sec, f16 and then another at 0.7 sec, f5 for the person.
Sunset on the dunes at Freshwater West in Pembrokeshire.
The beautiful Granite Bay in Noosa National Park. The more I visit this place, the more I fall in love with the area. There is always birds flying around, beautiful rock pools, just waiting to be discovered. Some of the larget pools make a lovely smooth base pool too :) Granite Bay, Noosa National Park, Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Canon 5D Mk II, 35mm, 16:9 crop. Available very large, and best viewed large.
A glimmer is all it was, the sun is rising way over to the right, just managed to find a gap to shine through and light up the thin clouds over the seaward Kaikoura ranges, this only lasted a few mins, then that ominous dark cloud opened and poured for hours. Shot in the north bay near Fyffes House Kaikoura. Shot on a Nikon D700 with 17-35mm lens, with Cokin ND8 grad filter. photomatrix and photoshop.
