Witness to a real Miracle! by TREVOR IRWIN
PLEASE READ THIS. “This was the exact moment in time when the Power of almighty God and his great compassion and love, touched a dying Child”. Taken in Kaban Muslim village in Nov 2008. I was ministering in the village along with several mission staff, and a mother brought her almost dead child to me and asked for Prayer. As I held the still body of this little boy in my arms, my thoughts went straight to Jesus. I spoke to teh Mother and all around me that the only one that could save this child now as Jesus. I said I will pray in Jesus name. There were a few unhappy elders around, but decided to agree that I should pray in Jesus name, just to see what would Happen. This was the breakthrough. Kaban village is a Muslim village and under Sheria Law. I simply laid my hand on the child and commanded life and divine health to enter the child and that God would fill this child with his spirit. In Jesus name I prayed. Instantly the child because to move his arms and legs and began to cry. I told the mother Jesus had healed her son, and to take her son and breastfeed him as he was hungry. All saw the Power of Jesus and was witnessed by all in the village. Others then came and many were healed and some openly give their lives to Jesus. others followed us on our way to Ungwa/Fada village and received Jesus in private. Jesus is alive and works in and through his people. He loves you, and that is a fact. She certainly would have died, but thanks to you who prayed, and donated, she is full of life. I thank God for those here on RB who prayed earnestly and donated funds towards her care. Today Grace is completely recovered, and Sings her Sunday School songs with much joy. This is my passion and inspiration in life. I live to help the poor and inspired by many here on Rb who pray and donate to the mission. Her life has touched many around the world. Their old well have completely caved in. Now the are drinking river water again. This is what kills and blinds so many in Remote and isolated villages. I loved the light on thier faces. I was visiting my sister in Malawi 2 years ago which gave me a love to get back to painting african faces. this was taken while standing on the banks of the river Nile in Nigeria. late evening and we were waiting for the small ferry to transport our Vehicles and us to the other side. Its a two day journey by road and dirt track from our mission center in Kujama in kaduna State to Tunga/Zuga Village in Kebbe state. I have made this journey several times and Live with the villagers in the remote village. Nothing can ever prepare me to deal with the extreme poverty, Sickness and Disease that is so extreme here. Dying Children, that could be saved with just a few drugs and a little money. My Passion and Inspiration comes from my Lord and his great love for the poor. In 1994, I dedicated the remainder of my life to reach the poor, not only with the Gospel of Salvation, but to rasie awareness throughout the word of their plight, adn to raise an army of Prayer warriors, and those who would sow a financial seed into their lives. This family needs clothes that have not been worn out, handed down, used up, and that cover their bodies. In no time, modesty will no longer be met. Adults in this village need clothing, too. / The girls need head-scarves to be ‘properly dressed’ and to protect their hair from the sun. Akuti - A real Gypsy Princess, and her people need you! by TREVOR IRWIN
PLEASE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO READ THIS. I am an Irish artist and missionary working with extreme poor in Africa and India. In this one camp 52 children suffer from Intestinal worm infection, and the death rate is very high. This is due to lack of clean water. The is Akuti, an Indian gypsy girl aged 11 years. Her name means ‘Princess’ and she really is a Gypsy princess. But she, like almost all of her people, the Nara_Kar-Avars (gypsy children), are treated with contempt and rejection, and denied even the basics of life. To be born a Gypsy under Hindu religion is to be born into the lowest of the lowest casts. / Known as Outcasts and treated as Untouchables, Akuti and many millions like her face a life with little hope. / She has never gone to school, as her parents barely earn enough to feed her, and cannot afford the £70-$130 per year they need for school fees, uniform and text books. My passion and mission in life is not just to pray and preach to these precious people, but to provide clothing, and the cost of school fees, medical care, and provide tools to help them earn or make a living. / The Philadelphia Mission is a small underfunded, yet effective British charity doing just that in India and Africa. Greeting Card: Young African Girl by TREVOR IRWIN
[portrait taken in Natural Light] : 16/11/2008 [AS IS] I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. One of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us her story, I felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and they had no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God led us and blessed her with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her. Now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. UPDATE 5-8-2009. Mary is now at School. We pay her school fees adn her three younger sisters are well and happy. We need help with Susan, aged 9. She wants to go to school also. We need help with school fees, uniform adn text books. Can you help? will you Help?
