Taken in NARI-KOR-AVARS tribe Gypsy camp, on the outskirts of karchirapalayam. india. In this one camp, not one child went to school. The parents cannot afford the £55 – $90 School fees, The £12-$20 school uniform and the £10=$18 test books per year. A Total of £77-$130 per year. They children spend their day sitting with their parents/carers and making beads. If they don’t sell any beads, they go hungry. there is no toilets in the camp and open sewage is everywhere. There’s no clean water, No electricity and make shift homes, consisting of part mud houses with many having Plastic sheets as a roof. the death rate is extremely high. Denied even the most basic amenities, these gypsies are treated as outcasts and suffer greatly. I and Philadelphia Mission Charity are here to help them. We need your Prayers and support. I am completely dedicated to giving these children a better future. / Unless we help this precious child’s future is very bleak. PLEASE READ THIS. Taken outside Chennai,Tamil Nadu state. South India. my passion in life is to help as a many poor and outcast people in the world as I can. I am not alone here. With te help of many friends here on Rb we are making a real difference. / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ There are 40 Million gypsies in India. I am working with the most abused tribe called Narikoravars tribe. pronounced [ Nari-Kor-Avars] just over 4 million and very little help. Only a handful of Churches, 3 in all, and one small Charity work with them. They are Outcast because of Hindu religion and just because they belong to this tribe. Treated, lower than dogs, they are beaten, stoned and chased from towns and villages. They have no Land, and little property. We are now working with these in small settlements. They have no toilets, clean water, no healthcare, no education as they cannot afford the school fees, uniforms and text books. those that can are often chased from schools. Many are Christian, yet the Churches have failed them. They hunt and make beads. If they don’t sell them they go hungry. THIS IS JUST A SAMPLE. I WILL UPLOAD MANY MORE IN A NEW SITE HERE ON RB SOON. [Taken in Natural Light]. Taken on the banks of the river Nile, remote Nigeria. I got into conversation with this Muslim girl and I felt s deep compassion for her, as she said She sells peanuts to get money to help her Grandfather who cares for her and her brother and two sisters. Her mother is dead and when she died the father just left and never returned. She told me that she only sold three packets that day and she was selling from around 10 am to 7pm. She did not make enough even to buy basic foods. She spoke good English so I knew she had had some education. I and my fellow mission workers bought what she had left. Then I asked her If I could pray for her. She said yes. I asked God to open her heard adn reveal himself to her. We led to to Christ. She wept and the lord really did touch her. We now visit her village often. All proceeds from sale of my art, or donations made via our charity website goes to help extreme poor and sick in remote and rural villages of Africa. Unframed. / This painting came about by seeing a photo on Flickr I asked the photographer if i could use it for a paitning, this girl and boy are from Etheopia but they could just as easy be from Malawi. I loved the light on thier faces. I was visiting my sister in Malawi 2 years ago which gave me a love to get back to painting african faces. The are a few changes from the photo and a brighter background. Artist call it ARTISTIC licience.

SUFFER LITTLE CHILDREN TO COME UNTO ME by TREVOR IRWIN
PLEASE READ THIS. Taken in a gypsy settlement, near Kallikurachi, Tamil Nadu State. India. This is me praying for the many children who are in great need of help. The Nari_kor-Avars gypsies are under Hindu Religion the lowest in the caste system. called and treated as outcast, they are shun by almost all in India. None of the 200 plus children here attend school, as they are not welcome. Those who can afford the school fees are excepted with reluctance Often refused medical help, and chased from the streets, many are now settling in camps. Their camps have no toilets, little clean water and very little food. These gypsies have no land to farm, and their only source of income is Making and selling Bead necklaces, and bracelets.. They are paid the lowest prices by buyers, who sell them in towns and cities to tourists and wealthy buyers. They need light summer clothing for the children, of whom many are naked and semi naked. I am soon to set up an world wide market to sell their bracelets and bead necklaces. This will bring in much needed income. I have samples and will upload photos of them soon. they also need help with money to pay school fees, Uniforms ect. I am asking those of you who can gather Children’s summer clothing. tops, tee shirts, Shorts, underwear, Sandals and light shoes, to help. they can be sent direct to THE INDIAN NEW LIFE MISSION in INDIA. This is the only Church Organisation working with them. funds are low. if you can help, Please get in touch with me. Perhaps your Church may want to help. This Christian based group is dedicated to raising money for the Philadelphia Mission who works with starving children in Africa.
Anyone is welcome to join, regardless of faith or religion. However, this is a Christian based group, and by joining, you agree to receive group mailings that may contain Christian messages, writings, and devotionals.
