Here are a few words that Jen has written to tell us about herself:

I have always loved photography. I remember when my dad gave me my first Polaroid at for Christmas when I was 8 years old. I was so excited. And what did I take pictures of back then? My stuffed animals…go figure.

I grew up in a family of animal hunters, my dad and brother hunted everything from deer to quail. Of course, to them it was a sport but to me it was something much different and a fighter for animal rights was born.

I became an animal technician at nineteen but moved on to a legal career at thirty. I have spent most of my adult life doing volunteer work for one animal issue or another all the while managing a feral colony somewhere. I work with the trap neuter and release program here locally and I am a member of Alley Cat Allies Network.

Photography is now a way of life for me just as the animals are and through my images I try to send a message on behalf of the voiceless, I am the messenger. I can’t think of anything else I would rather be.

The very first image I ever saw of yours was of Mikey sitting at the window & I used it as the avatar for “Kitty at the Window” Challenge ……………I still absolutely love it !
