As a reader Tarot has fascinated me for many years. I love the connection it creates between you and the querant – the privilege of being let into their life for even a brief time to explore things that really matter to them. And the process of giving them the gift of maybe seeing something that had been intractable to them in a whole new light. / I also love masque and candle light so Alison joined me to try and pull these different elements together.
Huge bon fire at a friends house in Hamilton. / After this photo was taken the guy sitting in the couch jumped out of his seat because of the extreme heat and then the couch proceeded to catch on fire.
I thought you may enjoy seeing the beautiful sunset over the island of Lana’i on the horizon, which Jacob and I watched last night from an elevation of about 4000 feet above sea level from Ulupalakua, Upcountry on Maui, Hawai’i. I always have the same cake every year – a mid-sized black forest – and I love it. :) March 9, 2009 Shot taken with a Nikon Coolpix S50 as is (no editing). / Location: Dining table in our house, Quezon City. My 17th was included in the top ten of the Mood and Ambience group’s Happy Birthday! challenge.
Just playing around with a photo of a couple of friends. Thought they would look good with a Dracula theme, with the adde touches of fire, smoke and lightning in the background. I really couldn’t think of a title for this one, but I am very much open for suggestions.

A close-up view of a warm and crackling fire in a wood burning stove. You can see clearly the charred logs, the hot embers and the flames hungrily licking at the wood fuel. You can almost feel the heat being generated. CS2’s “rough pastels” and “poster edges” filters applied for artistic effect.
Yesterday, June 21st, 2009, was the brightest night of the year on the northern hemisphere. At the World Heritage Museum of Tanumshede, Bohuslän, Sweden, this was celebrated with music, dancing around the maypole, and a fire procession to an old lake where offerings once took place…in what we call Bronze Age.
This has been featured in Angel Wings and Heaven Inspired by the song by Chris Rice. There is a candle in every soul / Some brightly burning, some dark and cold / There is a Spirit who brings a fire / Ignites a candle and makes His home So Carry your candle, run to the darkness / Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn / Hold out your candle for all to see it / Take your candle, and go light your world / Take your candle, and go light your world Frustrated brother, see how he’s tried to / Light his own candle some other way / See now your sister, she’s been robbed and lied to / Still holds a candle without a flame So Carry your candle, run to the darkness / Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn / Hold out your candle for all to see it / Take your candle, and go light your world / Take your candle, and go light your world Cause We are a family whose hearts are blazing / So let’s raise our candles and light up the sky / Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus / Make us a beacon in darkest times So Carry your candle, run to the darkness / Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor / Hold out your candle for all to see it / Take your candle, and go light your world Carry your candle, run to the darkness / Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn / Hold out your candle for all to see it / Take your candle, and go light your world / Take your candle, and go light your world
