Many of the building in the Minneapolis / Saint Paul, Minnesota area are connected with elevated and enclosed walkways such as this one. They protect people walking around the downtown area from bitter subzero temperatures.

Finally made to Vera Falls. Just checked the map (Note to myself: should have done it before) – End of Vera Falls track – 450 metres below the start of the track at Wentworth Falls! OMG!! On the way up it was definitely – OMG! Hot, cloudless, bright day. Completely wrong light. The falls could be nice after a lot of rain and with a soft afternoon winter light. So really uploading this and may be one of two other photos as a tribute to two pairs of very, very sore legs! And at the end of two hours struggling to find a position from which the falls were at least a little bit photogenic at that direct sunlight, I finally started shooting in mono. Here I actually like the water falling from above looking like heavenly light. Thank you for looking! African Elephant, treated in Photoshop Taken in Shimba Hills, Kenya Whilst on Safari in Kenya we stopped to watch this African Elephant. It appeared to become agitated and started flapping its ears and moving toward us. Our guide did’nt seem concerned, but I was very relieved when he backed off.
