...think I’m turning into a Borg lol! half machine half human where willl all this technology end??? ...The Borg manifest as cybernetically enhanced humanoid drones of multiple species, organized as an interconnected collective, the decisions of which are made by a hive mind, linked to subspace domain. The Borg inhabit a vast region of space in the Delta Quadrant of the galaxy, possessing millions of vessels and having conquered thousands of systems. They operate solely toward the fulfilling of one purpose: to “add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to their own” in pursuit of perfection. This is achieved through forced assimilation, a process which transforms individuals and technology into Borg, enhancing, and simultaneously controlling, individuals by implanting or appending synthetic components. ..finished after midnight layered the photo of water put it thru’ flexify – changed colours gradients on/ bezier pen tool /drew the skull and cloned painted enhanced ..then added lights textures opacity etc; .......

This is created from one of my few multi-coloured pastel pieces. It has a black texta outline contrasting with oily metallic pastels for the colouring. It was an experiment in combining very different media. Done on 110gsm cartridge paper. A flower that will never fade away / that could wish a happy day / steal a heart away / or say G’day Truely appreciate the honour of being featured amongst the lovely art of the Fantastic Primitive Art Group.

poinsettias revisited by James Lewis Hamilton
My prior ‘hibiscus card’ was so satisfying as a Photo-Shop (PS) adjusted image that I’ve been experimenting with the poinsettia image for days now trying to create a satisfactory new version of this art and put it into RedBubble card formatting. I’m not fully satisfied, but after many hours and late nights, many versions, and lots of PS fooling around I can live with this design. Anyone who has any further suggestions though should know they will be much appreciated. / One will have to click on the ‘buy’ button to see how this image appears on a finished card. All of the PS details are now a bit muddled in my head and I believe the PS tutorial provided with the ‘hibiscus card’ covers the most salient PS steps. Oh, I will say that the pointillism type background started as a photo of mostly clouds and some blue sky. I loaded it onto PS and then in the ‘filter’ choices got to the general appearance, but it was too varied. So I cropped that image down to a fairly uniform corner and then ‘resized’ to the necessary 920 pixels (px) x 1320 px with minimum with resolution set at 200px. / When I showed my partner this design she said; “It’s a bit old fashioned.” Well, that’s not too bad, maybe there’s a place for it… I mean the original drawing/painting was done in 1965!

This tee became like a meditative mantra for me (like writing over and over on the chalk board)... I know the message is what I want to experience… it’s just so seemingly counter-intuitive growing up in a world governed by ‘conditional’ love. I ask myself; “What does ‘unconditional’ even mean?” “How is it expressed?” “Do I even know what and how to ‘forgive’?” “Or give?” Here’s a great self question; “Would I dare wear this tee shirt?” / The design also became an experiment in fonts and effects with different styles. I had fun doing it, and for at least this fleeting moment I feel an inner sense of peace… even joy. / Or as my Thai friends might say; “You impress the heart.”
