Beetles are of the insect order called Coleoptera meaning ‘Sheath wings’. With over 370,000 species of beetles worldwide they make up the largest Order within the Animal Kingdom. There tough forewings are known as elytra. Adult beetles all have biting jaws, which they use to tackle almost anything.
