The stages of the confederate rose by Solar Zorra
It is said the this plant commemorates the confederate solders. STAGE ONE: It blooms in the Fall a brilliant white, representing the new solders. / STAGE TWO:The next two days it turns blush pink representing the beginning of blood shed during the civil war. / STAGE THREE:Then finally it turns deep red and falls off, which represents the dying solders. I’m waiting for a deep red one to include.

Hunting Island Memories by Tibby Steedly
I took this photo 20 years ago at Hunting Island State Park, South Carolina, using an Olympus OM-1 film camera. This particular fence is now gone, washed away by the tides. I used a filter (coffee colored) and added the paintbrush filter in PhotoShop. I always loved the shrimpboat in the background that was heading out for the day’s catch.
