so sad, i didnt know they could live to be that old, i have no doubt the people who go to that zoo will miss her, as well as the zookeepers, thanks for sharing this nic |

It is so sad when any animal dies. I hope Debby had a good life and did not suffer near the end. I, also, am surprised that a bear could live that long. I’m sure that the people who cared for her are very sad. |

I’ve got a few shots of her, I’ll post a few more. Tomorrow the Assiniboine Park Zoo (Winnipeg Canada) is having a memorial at noon (Saturday the 22 Nov. 2008) for her. She will be missed by many. |

oh my, I shed a tear….I know its how the world goes, but its always so sad when a precious animal dies. But, it looks like she lived a long long life…..and now she is with others….:) |
