I’ve been very fortunate to have access to some camera gear I am hoping to be worthy of one day. The good thing about this is it makes me put the effort into becoming worthy of the gear. I love portraiture / candid style shots, black & white and photography that conveys emotion or beauty.
I appreciate constructive criticism and the work of others and am genuinely grateful to RB to giving photographers a forum to meet like minded souls from all over the world.

Never heard of you before until I had to critique this photo

by Basia McAulay and I read it in the comments.

I co-host Classical Photographic Portraiture with Rosina Lamberti where we attempt to pass on knowledge about posing and lighting etc. It’s more of an educational group (though there more work involved than I thought there’d be [I’m an idealist]) and co-host Medium and Large Format Film Photography with Shaun Johnston

Ex part time pro (wedding, portrait, commercial) for 17 years on the Atherton Tablelands behind Cairns. Member of the Professional Photographers Association of Australia for most of that time.

I guess this makes me a “has-been” !:)

I am just learning how to use the features on my camera. I bought the camera to take away last year to America and I vurtually pointed and shot. I hate to admit it but I am still doing a lot of that although I am trying to learn what to do with the camera, especailly since I have purchased the new zoom and macro lenses.
I am a teacher but am not able to teach at the moment due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident and subsiquent work place accident. While I am recovering I am playing with my cmera and trying to teach myself how to use the functions.
I hope that if /when my compensation payout arrives that I will have enough money to purchase a canon kit and to undertake a course that teaches me all the technical stuff I need to know for producing stunning photographs.
I love to photograph animals, old buildings, strange rock/tree formations, family and friends.
I hope that you enjoy my limit talent as I upload various work. Feel free to offer constructive critism including technical information as I want to learn how to produce better photos.
Please check out my portfolio on redbubble… simply type in Rosemaree to your search. I would love to hear from other bubblers to support my learning.

Regards Rosemaree

Hi all!

My name is jon, my nickname here is dawesy. I shoot with Nikon gear and haven’t had too much experience in portraiture yet. I have managed to get a few friends to help me with some ideas lately and hope to convince some more too in the future so that I’ll have some more things to share.

Cheers.

Hi everyone. My name is Jeffrey Hamilton.
Photography is an integral part of my practice though I woud not claim to be a professional photographer.

Nickname/Userid: it’s my name… I started off using J Hammos, a nickname, but some people couldn’t find me, so what’s the point of that? But I’m happy for you to call me J. if you comment on my stuff.

Location: Surry Hills, Sydney

What’s in your kit? Been using a Canon Powershot S5 IS for the past year or so; getting to know it. One of those hybrids. Perhaps one day I’ll get myself a good SLR like I use to use in the days of film.

Local Attractions: Until quite recently I lived at Mistral Point, the north headland at Maroubra. It was amazing.: the storms, an ocean pool, constant winds for great kite flying, moonrise and sometimes sunrise over the ocean. Well, there aint no ocean view at Zetland but the terrace house is cute, with a private courtyard that I’m learning to love.

Your website: www.stainedglass.com.au has been up for about 10years now. badly needs an overhaul. On the “to do” list.

I’ve been taking photographs for around 3 years now…...Portraits are my passion and I have a strong preference to B&W capture and images that are powerful and thought provoking…...I lean towards the unconventional and love shots that are “edgy and dynamic”.
