NO BAD WEATHER PHOTOS THANKS!
We accept photos from any of the inland country towns or inland cities in Australia.
Capture the excitement and colour, of life in Australia’s inland country towns and inland cities, which is endless and fascinating, and it opens up a myriad of great photo opportunities for people who live in, or visit country towns in Australia. We accept all art genres.
We are after the built environment & the natural landscapes of the town itself – the street scenes, the buildings, the pubs, the homes in the town, the parks, the rodeos etc, the cattle yards, dams, picnic areas, bridges & country landscapes. Don’t forget our towns in the snow fields either or private gardens of country homes that are open to the public – they are all in the country! Show us your best photos of the towns and cities of inland Australia.

When we have a challenge, any photos submitted to the challenge that have not been accepted into the group beforehand, will be removed from the challenge.
We don’t have any daily limits either but we don’t accept multiple photos of the same scene.
As we are a scenery group, that means no close ups of flowers, no shots of your dog, no bird shots, no graffiti, no cemeteries, no letter boxes and no knick knacks etc.
Photos across land or water that end in a flat horizon, or photos showing the horizon anywhere near the centre of the photo have a 99.9% chance of not being accepted. If you have used framing and composition to improve the look of the photo, it may be considered.
We don’t accept star trails or shots of the moon, lightning strikes etc or clouds (if they are the main subject of the photo). If your photo shows the sun or any sun flare, it will be rejected.
We are not accepting photos that are making a political statement, for any country or city. We are also not accepting photos that show off the homeless as the main subject. People shots are restricted to those going about their business and have to be completely unposed, and they have to be interesting – we don’t consider a photo of people walking down a street or sitting somewhere to be interesting! We are not accepting photos of entertainers who are doing a scheduled performance. We will consider some action shots of people playing sport etc if the photo is extremely good, eg: snow skiers. water skiers and rodeos etc.
We’ll accept these photos showing the scenery of Australian Country Towns:
If the colours appear natural and if the photo has no over or under exposure anywhere in the photo
If they are taken in good light with the photo taken in good weather and your main subject is well lit
Please state the location in the description line, where the photo was taken; e.g. ‘Bendigo, Victoria’
Normal RB rules apply on quality. Please submit only your best work and that includes tshirts and iPhone cases. Photos will be rejected If they wouldn’t be of interest to the general public.
We expect work to be to an acceptable standard and it will be removed if it falls short.
If you cannot find the reason why your photo was rejected, in the above rules, feel free to BM me please (PhotosByG) and I’ll happily provide you with the reason why your photo was not accepted.
Thank you.
Graham
