self. / 7 second exposure. / Canon EOS D60 “‘Cause there’s no comfort in the waiting room / Just nervous pacers bracing for bad news / And then the nurse comes ‘round and everyone lift their heads / But I’m thinking of what Sarah said / That love is watching someone die So who’s gonna watch you die?” Featured in Challenge Weekly July 2009
Uploaded mainly for the ‘blurry’ challenge. This is a print from a 35 mm neg…not intentionally blurry, then scratched on with an xacto knife (and then scanned again and used in another piece of art for a comic book cover).

Apparently I see good swimmers everywhere. This was my first attempt at a self portrait. Poor desk lamp spotlight and a long exposure made a light trail I wasn’t expecting but enjoyed the symbolism.
Self Portrait
Life… in perspective! Self-Portrait. The title of course refers to Lewis Carroll’s famous sequel to Alice in Wonderland, Through the looking glass By popular demand… You can find out How it was done
The challenge: A fuzzy self portrait…......well! / Here it is: / Me, lost in fuzzy nostalgia, playing the tunes of the ‘50s and ‘60s, / in the restaurant, of the Dutch Shop, / in Smithfield, Sydney. / . / / . / / . / / . / / . /
...I found the most beautiful song Rosi Golan & William Fitzsimmons – Hazy / I watched you sleeping quietly in my bed / You don’t know this now but there’s some things that need to be said / And it’s all that I can hear, It’s more than I can bare What if I fall and hurt myself? / Would you know how to fix me / What if I went and lost myself? / Would you know where to find me / If I forgot who I am, / Would you please remind me oh? / Cause without you things go hazy I watched you sleeping quietly in my bed / You don’t know this now but there’s some things that need to be said / And it’s all that I can hear, It’s more than I can bare What if I fall and hurt myself? / Would you know how to fix me / What if I went and lost myself? / Would you know where to find me / If I forgot who I am, / Would you please remind me oh? / Cause without you things go hazy (x2) and its been on repeat ever since… so i decided to create the image in my mind…. ahhh..music…libre Featured In Artrageous RB Portraits – Self Portrait

My own interpretation of what ascension to Heaven would be like.. / Clouds appearing in a nebular of stars / a beam of light scoring downwards like a funnel heralding the acceptance of the being. Please consider joining StarKatz Photography on Facebook Alley – computer generated in CS3 / Silhouette – created using brushes / stars and clouds – Glitterato by Flaming Pear / Time taken – 20 mins
A slight reworking of an earlier image. A photograph built upon to create a somewhat exotic portrait. That of science fiction character who survives on some distant planet. Supposedly a descendant of survivors of an early Earth mission. The conditions on that planet has altered the appearance of our hardy survivors.
Enjoy Life The angel of wishes and hopes and trust in life. I am an identical twin and wish these words help her as well as other women all over the world…. Let us all find our soul and feed it daily with positive thoughts.
model, photograph &editing: me / I have a strange relationshio to this photograph, most of the time I don’t like it, then some days I do, some days I hate it. / But it’s one of my more popular works on deviantart so I figured it could do no harm to upload it here. :) (But don’t get me wrong, I’m not popular at all on DA. xD) Done with Canon EOS 400D (as most of my photos)
Acrylic on oil painting canvas textured paper. Standard A3 I really didn’t have anything much in mind for this in concept, I just wanted to be unrestricted and let it flow in what ever direction I felt I wanted this to go in. I did have a reason for painting another self portrait. The group Bubbler Portraits is currently holding a challenge to paint a portrait of me and I am allowed to enter so I really wanted to attempt something new. I guess I ended up mixing a few different things I sometimes do in my paintings to end up with this result. When I finished it I wanted my beloved to know that I am always watching over him with my great love and prayers…that I believe completely in miracles and in the wonder and awesomeness of God…these were my feelings when I stepped back to view my work. MUCH love, beauty, joy and God’s miracles to you all!! Detail / / /
