Selfportrait
Selfportrait Sweetness and Light, Lush “See my life (I’ve been so tired) / See my self (I’ve been uptight) / See my life (I’ve been so tired) / See my sight (I could disappear) See with you, / I never seemed to look the other way Only to stay, only to breathe / Only to see / That space and light is what I really need”
half a dozen of the other self portrait whilst in a strange mood.
Titled after the tattoo on my chest (self portrait). Pegasus is the winged horse upon which, I believe, the Poets would ride for inspiration.
/ / Day Dreaming Geisha is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist Jaeda DeWalt’s Infusion of Color series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / About this Image / I love the mysterious veil of sleep and the magical realm of dreams. To create this image, I posed inside a life size wooden frame, and placed a sheer fabric behind me to fill the frame. If you look closely you can see the fabric and my left hand reaching around to grasp onto to one side of the frame. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Cards, Matted Prints, / Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / Image featured in Artrageous RB Artists… group 11-18-2009 / Image featured in Photographers Self Portrait group 7-16-2009 / Image featured in Live, Love, Dream group 7-13-2009 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in the Infusion of Color calendar / / / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /
SP Inspired by the beautiful work of Julie Everhart (See Below). I thought her self portrait was so good that i just wanted to have a go.. Not as easy as i thought it was going to be… I first took a photograph as normal, and enhanced using CS4 and Lightroom…. / Julie’s beautiful SP which looks like a stunning painting.. / & my rather poor attempt…....which just looks like and enhanced photo lol

For Rog :)xo / / Dismantled as I was / You looked passed / The stained glass treatments / Wreckage lay / Where my love had been / Footsteps worn on a path well traveled / Or so I thought / I would never / Danced this dance again / Disassembled and misplaced / You walked by the slaughtered remains / A battlefield I continued to struggle on / Not that you ignored it / I know you could see / With no enemy but myself / You offered a hand / Bandaged and sutured / What was left of me. / Tending to my mortal wounds / You showed me a place to start / Enlightened to a critical horizon / You offered fuel / Disguised as love / To heal my willful heart. / Rising from the ashes / Dusting off the hurt and pain / You watched me stand / On my own / My faith restored again. / Beyond the baggage / Shining slightly / A spark became a flame. / Dismantled as you were / I looked passed / The stained glass treatments / Taking you / Where you never dreamed to be / Footsteps on a path well traveled / Or so you thought / You would never / But now I ask / Would you please, / Dance this dance with me.

The title is inspired, both by the owl in Bambi and by the song by The Square Pegs; oh, yes, and by the caterpillar, come to think of it, from Alas in Wonderland! Well, Alice, of course, I mean; Alas, in Wonderland, may, however, be the title of something of mine. May, I say: MAY! Do not task me, tax me, or tack me! This is pure photo manipulation: or, perhaps it is impure photo manipulation. Who can tell? The original photo is of me, taken by me, and uploaded by me onto my profile so that (if you are viewing this sooner towards the time of it’s having been uploaded rather than later towards the time of my profile having changed again) you may view it there, on my profile page, if you are so inclined. You may also be the leaning tower of Pisa, if you are so inclined. Or, a Roman. You might be the rolling plains. I hope you are none of the above, however, as I do not want to try to guess how any of them got to be on the internet – not as attractions, but as viewers of same. Am I attractive to a Roman rolling plain over which leans the tower of Pisa? Hmm … At any rate, I do not know who you are, or why you are attracted, or if you are attracted, or what would happen if we put you near a magnet. Would you explode? Would you fall? Would you fly? Whomever you are, stop reading this silly thing, now! Thank you for complyi… err.. hey wait! You are still reading this, aren’t you? Stop that! Stop reading! Stop I say! (sigh) Darn you! ahem ... anyway … There is another one of these, but, flipped and recolored, so assume mostly the same information, only, if you like, you can flip and recolor the words, to make them more suitable. B is for blue
Self portrait although it doesn’t look like me. The mediums used are printers ink, petrol and drawn with a bamboo stick.
Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb / Hello. / Is there anybody in there? / Just nod if you can hear me. / Is there anyone home? Come on, now. / I hear youre feeling down. / Well I can ease your pain, / Get you on your feet again. Relax. / I need some information first. / Just the basic facts: / Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding. / A distant ships smoke on the horizon. / You are only coming through in waves. / Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin. / When I was a child I had a fever. / My hands felt just like two balloons. / Now I got that feeling once again. / I cant explain, you would not understand. / This is not how I am. / I have become comfortably numb. Ok. / Just a little pinprick. [ping] / Therell be no more—aaaaaahhhhh! / But you may feel a little sick. Can you stand up? / I do believe its working. good. / Thatll keep you going for the show. / Come on its time to go. There is no pain, you are receding. / A distant ships smoke on the horizon. / You are only coming through in waves. / Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin. / When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse, / Out of the corner of my eye. / I turned to look but it was gone. / I cannot put my finger on it now. / The child is grown, the dream is gone. / I have become comfortably numb

This image is produced by combining two photstats and it deals with my interest in time travel. I have gone back to the 1960’s to visit with the famous British artist David Hockney and his lady friend who kept offering me green tea and crackers.

Self-portrait This was a concept I had in mind prior to the time I uploaded Lily. I folded a couple more lilies with 15×15mm pieces of papers, but as I tried out the photo, it didn’t look so good. So I bumped up the size folded more lilies, this time with 2×2cm papers, and I think it looks better. This idea was based on my Substitute for a silent mouth of Sorrow have a look at that piece to read what that one is about. But don’t get me wrong; I’m not gloomy or anything :-) just wanted to execute the idea. Taken with an Olypus FE-340 on Nov. 20, 2009
Rise – Azure Ray Today i’ll crawl out of bed / I can’t stand your shadow is too heavy to lift / Maybe we’ll go for a ride / You said you’d take me nowhere / I said that suits me just fine / I know you’ve always been near / Whispering secrets i know i’m not supposed to hear / Hold your heart with two hands / Give it to me only to disappear / Look how low i’ve sunk / Don’t ask me to rise / I’ll only lose you when i’m high / All alone in the dark / Love survives only when we are apart / Your voice still sounds in my ears / Soft explosions that blossom with the beat of my heart Twas a bedraggled day, i had just emerged from the pool, sodden, no make up, eyes red from the pool poison...
