Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts Movement

Art Nouveau is characterised by it's highly-stylised, flowing, curvilinear designs often incorporating floral and other plant-inspired motifs. The Art Nouveau period spanned the 1880s to 1914 and is closely aligned with the Arts and Crafts Movement.

"Featured" Banner Challenge - Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts Movement Group

The Challenge

This challenge is for members to design and then select the banner which will be displayed in the comments of works featured in the Art Nouveau Group.

Judging / Voting Criteria

Please consider how the work conforms to the Art Nouveau style when making your selection.

Group Host will not vote on the challenge

The Glory of having your design selected as the group’s “Featured Works” banner and displayed on all works featured in the Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts Movement Group!

Additional Information

1. Please ensure the image and accompanying text is in the Art Nouveau style. Excellent Art Nouveau fonts are available for free… I suggest Googling ‘Art Nouveau Fonts’. There are also excellent photoshop brushes in the Art Nouveau style too.

2. “Featured in the Art Nouveau Group” or similar wording is to be included in the banner, please.

3. The design needs to be suitable for viewing at a reasonably small size (large thumbnail size)

4. Works may be in any medium (including photographs), however T-shirts are excluded.
