One of biggest influence Red Bubble has had on my photography… is to look more at everything around you. We had just checked in to our hotel in downtown Phoenix and the first thing I always do is go look out the window. / I guess it is a need to see where I am in relation to everything and what do I get to look at for the next few days… / The first thing I see is this wonderful building that was coming alive as I stood there. It was starting sundown and the reflections were liike a motion picture as the colors were changing. Original digital photograph. Taken with a Sony Full HD 1080 Cyber Shot camera. I love to shoot abstracts, when you look at an image and have to stop and think for a second as to what the object might be. What I love even more is to take abstracts of seemingly ordinary things. If you haven’t figured it out yet this is a shot of an old tire.

Crinoid and sponge, contrasting colors in the underwater world off Klein Bonaire. “Crinoids are neither abundant nor familiar organisms today. However, they dominated the Paleozoic fossil record of echinoderms and shallow marine habitats until the Permo-Triassic extinction, when they suffered a near complete extinction: many Paleozoic limestones are made up largely of crinoid skeletal fragments.” If you look into the morphology of these critters, they have a mouth – check it out! More detail . Charles Messing who spotlights crinoids (see below) starts his introduction by saying: The Crinoidea includes the most exquisite members of the Echinodermata, far more stunning as a rule than any plodding urchin or commonplace starfish (just to let you know at the outset where my allegiance lies). With a family tree rooted in almost 500 million years of history, they are the senior group of living echinoderms Canon S3-IS, Ikelite housing and strobe

A collage of macro digital photos of an unusual succulent plant. The photographs were all brought into Photoshop Elements 7 where they were scaled down and arranged on the digital canvas. I cropped out sections of most of the photo’s, one at a time using the selection tool and deleting the parts I didn’t want. A green base layer with a black border was created to contrast with the images.
