We are looking for QUALITY PHOTOS,with planned and executed GREAT composition,lighting and color!
We are looking for YOUR very BEST shots!
We will look for photos that are focused on the subject, without a lot of background clutter in the shot, without excessive digital manipulations and compiled photos. Photos that are well planned and composed and executed for the best pose of the subject, the best light and color and natural appearance
We look for Full Shots of the Animal’s FACE,or Portraits or Full Body shots preferably with the animal LOOKING AT YOU. At times, we may accept a profile shot if we think it is of high quality work, but chances are, most will be rejected. It is NOT the preferred work we are asking for in submissions. We are not interested in shots of animal’s rear ends, half their legs or just a foot, hoof,an eye or nose, or shots of the animals face blown out of disproportions for funny! The types of shots just mentioned will be rejected without notice
We do not want “snapshots” or washed out, over exposed photos snapped in hast and with poor composition – such will be rejected.
Special Request-Please place a limit on yourself and keep no more than 5 of your best dog or cat shots in the gallery at one time. IF YOU WANT TO ADD ANOTHER ONE- BE KIND AND REMOVE A COUPLE YOU ALREADY HAVE IN GALLERY. PLEASE work with us so we do not have to SET A LIMIT ON ALL SUBMISSIONS thereby penalizing the other members who contribute a great variety of photos to us
BLUR or ORTON or Photo Compilations, Framed works are NOT accepted
Reptiles,Fish,Amphibians, Sea mammals, Birds or Insects are not accepted
If you still have doubts about a photo, view our gallery of acceptable work
If a photo has been rejected or removed from the gallery,DO NOT continue to re-submit it to us over and over. This type of behavior is considered harassing and could lead to removal of your membership
No more than 3 photo submissions per day
Unlimited Gallery – presently! If we find members abusing the privilege, we will set limits
Presently,we are not accepting Greeting cards with writings or T-SHIRTS

We subscribe to a policy of NO SOLICITATION for VOTES in all our challenges. We believe every photo ENTRY should be allowed to win or place on the merits of the work ONLY! Soliciting friend’s votes for quantity of votes is not the same as VOTES for QUALITY OF WORK! We enforce this policy
