Original Art by Angela F. Painted on top of an old piece of paper which already had something printed on it. This is how I naturally draw horses unless I strive to make them look like how horses really look. However, henceforward I intend always to strive to make my horses look like real horses. So this is the last of my strange-looking ones with long skinny muzzles etc., unless someone actually requests me to paint more. An old dream: Down in the cave the water is up to our knees. There’s bathtub by the / wall, which is the portal to the underwaterworld. I stand in it to be taken there. The / underwaterworld is the same cave but entirely submerged in water. I collect shells and / small fossilized fish which I find in the mouth of a swimming fish. Some of the fish around / me have plants painted on them. Suddenly the waterlevel drops and a tiled wet floor is revealed. I walk into the next room / where the water has dropped as well, but there’s wet sand on the ground in which I leave / footprints. At the end of that room I see a wall made of water. The water is moving downward, / like a waterfall. I look through the water and notice a brown piano standing there. / It’s pulsating like a heart. The soundwaves it makes are visible in the wall of water.
‘The Serpent Tree’ was inspired by the John Lennon song, ‘Woman’ / which he dedicated to all women everywhere This is a marked change to my normal work. I started my creative life as an artist, painting in oils. I tended to work on large canvasses. In much of my digital art I have been conscious of creating the ‘big scenes’, so this one is such a pleasing change for me. I have to say that I am excited about this change of style. RedBubble is simply inspirational! I really hope that you will like it. Thank you for viewing, and an especailly thank you for comments and (hopefully) faves! Acrylic on 16×20 canvas, sealed with a satin varnish / Inspired by a photo by photographer: Darla Teagarden This painting came together so smoothly for me. Sometimes I struggle with the colors and the concept. Although it may have helped to have a reference photo. Usually I just go off an idea that’s in my brain, and when it doesn’t come out exactly how I imagined it, I get frustrated. But, I don’t stop until it’s the way I want it to be ♥ Redbubble Featured Art – May 2009 Featured in Color Me a Rainbow (pink) – June 2009
