Here are a few tips to ensure your images stay in the gallery and the points that hosts are looking for, for featuring art.
1. Dogs and cats are not considered wildlife and will be deleted. Wolves, wild dingos and big cats are.
2. NO landscape or flower pictures without wildlife in them, they will be deleted….there are 100’s of groups better suited to good scenery.
3. Plain coloured animals in grass, behind trees or way off in the distance will be deleted. So will blurry images, over and under exposed images and over processed work. These will be deleted also.
4. Blurry butterflies, boring seagulls (some are good, they will stay, some aren’t and they will be deleted), pigeons, squirrels, bees, ALL common animals, if they aren’t outstanding images they will be rejected/deleted.
5. Animals in shadows will be deleted and dirty scruffy looking animals also will be removed.
6. Drawings of mystical creatures (like dragons) will be deleted.
7. One of our listed rules is NO ANIMALS IN CAGES…please abide by this rule.
8. Birds flying on plain blue sky will be deleted unless exceptional, the same goes for animals covered by water (unless they are fish) and animals at feeding dishes.
9. Please don’t enter into the group multiple images of the same animal, choose your best image.
10. Animals shot from behind, animals having sex and animals shot from above, as a rule are not amazing and are not generally appealing to buyers.
11. No images with frames or text and no collages – Buyers do not purchase images that are pre-framed as it limits how they may want to frame/use the work and collages are better suited to scrapbooks and facebook =D
Points 1 through 11 have other groups you can submit to. All hosts decisions are final and will NOT be debated.
Last and most important HINT is to ensure your THUMBNAILS look AMAZING or they will be deleted, without opening to view full image. If the thumbnail doesn’t grab your attention and you can’t see the main subject/point of interest, it will not be accepted.
