My Magnificent Obsession We are delighted to welcome Dianne English as our Featured Artist for February. Dianne is first and foremost a photographer, but her photo-manipulation skills turn her into an accomplished and skilled digital artist. She has a wonderful ability to capture and use light throughout all her work and, in doing so becomes an inspiration to us all. Her work is emotive, subtle and beautiful. This is Dianne’s story “My name is Dianne English, I joined Redbubble in 2009. I’m an Aussie from Downunder and live in the State of New South Wales in a North West suburb, Castle Hill. Recently I was asked to become a Host of the group The Photographers Vault, still learning the ropes there, but all good fun , and friendship as is everything on Redbubble. A keen photographer all my life and plagued many people with my camera taking “snapshots”. My husband Ian English joined our local camera club and I followed along a year later with my first SLR Camera and the wonderful journey of exploring the delights and the many facets of photography followed. It was here at the Camera Club that I learnt so much and found a passion and joy in both macro photography and also the creative side of the digital world. There is always excitement at the prospect of what I can capture, whether it be here in the bushland around my home, an early morning sunrise shoot or working with someone here in our studio. Once captured many of my images whet my appetite and the creative juices start to flow, this is an area I love in photography. Photography for me touches my soul and without being too dramatic the total involvement and focus in my work keeps my "head’ in the right space. One of my very favourite images in my portfolio is called Secret River 2, it was one of my first attempts at blending images, it took weeks for me to be happy with the result. I love the wistful feel of the image and of course I have enjoyed such wonderful responses to this image here on Redbubble and on the National and International circuits."

I love each of the ones that Anna has selected… They are all fabulous!!!! I agree with both her & Polly, you are one of the best!! Here are a few that caught my eye today… This one is exquisite! The Basic adjustments in Photoshop CS4 added a much reduced opacity of Topaz Adjust – Photo Pop is so well done. The details are devine!! An instant FAVE!! I love the ocean, the waves flowing on the sand… this one gives me the feeling that I am dreaming of being on the beach… the blur effect used on this is so captivating… I can’t wait to dream this again. How clever this is! I love it, Carnival in the Clouds… You have a wonderfully creative mind Dianne!! Another instant fave! This is only the beginning of the celebration of Dianne’s art.
