I was walking briskly through Singapore’s Chinatown area in mid-December 2007 when the geometrical facade and strong colours of this building stopped me in my tracks. Abstract Macro Photography – Landscapes I got really exited when i seen this mini landscape today. / It is a large stone, part of a very large, old stone wall bearing the weight of railway tracks. / The bridge is actually got a name, which suprised me, as railway bridges dont usually get named. / The bridge is called ‘Woodhouse bridge’, and it is in Calverley, Leeds, and it runs across the ‘River Aire’ (but it does not go over the Leeds to Liverpool canal which runs parallel to the River Aire) This large stone, part of the bridge really stood out from the rest because it was blue and orange with moss growing up it, making it look very much like a clear sunny day with a bright blue sky and a forest of pine trees.
Abstract Macro Photography – Spacescape I think it makes an abstract spacescape exposion. / old steel rusting warehouse door / soldered shut / Fulneck / Pudsey / Leeds / (Along the ‘Leeds Country Way’ walk).

On a boring sunday afternoon, my 100mm macro comes to rescue. This is a monochrome image of my bag’s zipper. 1:1 macro. very shallow depth of field. Lens : Canon 100mm f/2.8 / f/2.8, 1/2s, ISO 100
I’ve seen some pretty amazing stained-glass windows around the world, but this is the first time I’ve seen a roof that comprises stained-glass. This was shot at a church in Pymble, Sydney, on Easter Sunday 2007. I just sat there during the service with a crick in my neck, because I was looking up at the ceiling all the time. I had never been to this church before (we live in Melbourne) so immediately after Mass had ended, I asked the priest if I could come back with my camera and take some shots – and he readily gave me permission. I shot about a dozen frames, but this angle, the best of the lot, could only be achieved by kneeling in front of the altar. Which I guess is very appropriate. If you look carefully at the image, you’ll see the reflection of the glass on the two wooden beams on the left. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F9.5, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 34mm. Featured in the ART OF GLASS group, June 2009. A team of women’s basketball players rush the net in an attempt to dunk the ball in the net. The player jumps for the net while the rest of the players look on in anticipation. This is a multiple exposure (5) photo taken with a Nikon D700 using an aspherical lens. The effect provides a blurred motion of action.
This multiple exposure shot (5) of a tree blowing in thew wind with a blue sky background provides an interesting set of patterns consisting of leaves and sky. The effect is not so much a blur as a set of patterns or stamps applied to the image.
A montage of tiles each consisting of an image that is made up of multiple photos, each blurred, twisted and contorted using CGI (Nodebox) based technology. A closer look reveals numerous objects from the specific merged photos. Photoshop was used to then place each individual image such that they merged together as a montage both from a size and color perspective. The black background makes each “stamped” image bounce of the bigger picture with a 3D-effect like marbleized chicklets.
Cars parked outside this storefront are seen in the reflection of the window displaying a large sun-symbol with a form of hieroglyphic writing. This photo was taken in Phuket Thailand with a Canon PowerShot G9.
Look carefully. He really is there …. If you can’t spot the runner, look for the little yellow figure located in approximately the nine-o’clock position. This was shot in Degraves Street, Melbourne. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F4.5, 1/10 sec, ISO 800, focal length 50mm. 116-8678
