This baking tray was on a kitchen bench and the soft light was just perfect across the gunmetal-grey of its surface. I had my priorities right. I shot this image before I put the tray away. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F4.5, 1/15 sec, ISO 800, focal length 58mm. Featured in TONE IT DOWN, October 2009. Yes I’m jumping back to a London based pic. This was an image I had included in my London calendar which I did not have displayed publically before but now I’ve decided to show it. This was taken in Key West off the marina watching the sunset. It was just gorgeous with boats in the water and cameras clicking away. The Renault 4CV is an automobile produced by the French manufacturer Renault from August 1947 to July 1961.[1] An economical “people’s car” inspired by the Volkswagen Beetle, it was the first French car to sell over a million units. The 4CV was originally conceived and designed covertly by Renault engineers during the German occupation of France during World War II, when the manufacturer was under strict orders to design and produce only commercial and military vehicles.
The Renault 8 (Renault R8 until 1964) and Renault 10 are two small family cars produced by the French vehicle manufactuer Renault in the 1960s and early 1970s. The 8 was launched in 1962, and the 10, a more upmarket version of the 8, was launched in 1965. Both ceased production and sales in France in 1971. They were produced in Bulgaria until 1970 and continued to be produced in Spain until 1976. In Romania, the 8 was produced under license between 1968 and 1971, under the name of Dacia 1100.

It was late, a nose was stuffy, sleep was unobtained, a camera was in existence .. that was the beginning That was the end of the beginning. The beginning of the beginning was not so easily pinned down, but, it was built upon by years, by being alone, by health issues, by being used to being followed around by mad beings with cameras and the cameras being all gone, and wondering if .. how … should he see me .. would it be … Sometimes it’s nice to know what one looks like. Alphabet Soup: R stands for redhead, because my hair is red even if it can’t exactly be told in the picture. It also stands for ‘RLS’ which are the initials I used to sign my artwork with and is part of who I am, because it also stands for “Randy Lee Stone” which is a name some people still know me by.

Ladybower reservoir is a Y shaped reservoir fed by two rivers….the Derwent and the Ashop. This is where the Derwent runs from Derwent dam into Ladybower. / Ladybower is the third and final one of a series of reservoirs down the Derwent Valley. It is the biggest of the three at about 3 miles in length. It was buillt between 1935 and 1943 and then took two years to fill up!! / There was some controversy surrounding the building of the dam….two villages in the valley had to be abandoned and flooded. Ashopton and Derwent villages both disappeared under the reservoir….including the old 17th century Derwent Hall and a number of ancient farms. / Sony Alpha 350, 18-70mm Lens. / 321 views / 31 Favorites
