This is from 2008 evacuating for the Hurricane…
Captured during a family weekend at Lake Fausee Point this summer. My two younger brothers were throwing the alligators crawfish that we were boiling and this capture is what came of them playing.
In the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA these little court yards are situated between the buildings and are the “back yard gardens” of the the owners. They are so beautiful!! This is a traditional court yard with the the fleur de lis fencing. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Christmas 2007 on Fulton St in New Orleans, La. The street was coved and lights and fleur de lis hung everywhere. Everything was Purple and Gold… Not traditional Christmas colors… but it was beautiful! No flash photograph… This image is straight out of the camera…

Evacuating New Orleans in 2008
YES! Finally! This bird has been hanging around my house for weeks and I never have my camera ready… He walked right up to my ferns to eat bugs while I was sitting on my porch… I very quietly got up and grabbed my camera! This is a quick edit! But I was just so excited to show off that I finally got pictures of this bird! Taken aboard NAS Belle Chasse just outside of New Orleans! Nikon D40x… Stock lens (I had no time to grab the other one!!) :)
