This is a group for compilations, collages and altered art featuring 2 or more images or elements. The concept here is BLENDING of multiple images (at least two) If you do add texture, that would make it 3! Textures qualify as elements IF they’re very strong and serve as part of the design. To fit our focus, they must change the image in a noticeable, artistic way.
Basically, we’re not a Texture Group, our focus is on combining image and elements. It may help to ask yourself, “If I took the texture out, would it change the image much?” If not, it really doesn’t fit out focus here. We encourage you to check the groups who specialize in single textures on a single image, such as:
Art Universe, Grunge It Up, Layered Up, Quality Layered Work, Textures Unlimited and Visual Texture to name a few.Please give a quick description – let us know you took the photos if you did, and if you’re using other sources please give credit where it’s due. If using stock or other peoples’ textures, please give credit to your source!
If your work should be rejected, please remember that it isn’t personal! Nor is it a criticism of your art! This is why there are nearly 3,000 groups on the Bubble: something for everyone! And our focus is on blended compilations (with texture and effects, or without.)
Also we are not opposed to artfully depicted figures but we WILL reject anything we deem obscene, distasteful or unsuitable. Blood, gore, violence and darkness aren’t Our Thing either (there are also other groups for those) so please keep that in mind as well.
