Accordingly, since nothing prevents the earth from moving, I suggest that we should now consider also whether several motions suit it, so that it can be regarded as one of the planets. For, it is not the center of all the revolutions. Nicolaus Copernicus

(be sure to click play to listen to the music while view) I love sitting on the beach watching the moon rise over the ocean. There is a serenity in these moments when you listen to the waves and think of the awesomeness of God’s creations and how they were fashioned for our pleasure as well as for a purpose. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- A pseudo-HDR (thank you Kelvin for this word) – This is a combination of 3 photos shot at different exposures. This Orange and Red hibiscus plant was blooming outside my parents lanai in Port Charlotte, Florida and I thought they may look good as a triptych. All 3 photos were taken in Macro Mode, Manual Focus with a Nikon D90 DSLR, Sigma 17-70 mm lens, focal length 70 mm. / /
Grant, Sammy and Karma digging at Maverick’s Beach.
A slight reworking of an earlier image. A photograph built upon to create a somewhat exotic portrait. That of science fiction character who survives on some distant planet. Supposedly a descendant of survivors of an early Earth mission. The conditions on that planet has altered the appearance of our hardy survivors.

Even though the orginal photogrpah of Frida was taken by a now very famous photographer, Imogen Cunningham I believe the image to be copyright free. The image was scanned from a book printed in 1940. The original was a black and white photo. / Although the original is beautiful I must say Frida looks very sad and I wanted to brighten it up a bit to celebrate her life and legacy. / This photographer and young artist were both ahead of their time. / The piece of machinery was added because it was taken at a hospital during that era and it represents the suffering she endured from her injuries.
A moment captured in time today at Maverick’s beach. Cannot get enough of the textures and layers! Textures: Sterling Silverr, Flickr.com (Thank you)
This photo was taken on an October morning at North Myrtle Beach,SC. It is one of my favorite views of the distant highrises. The camera used was a Canon Rebel XS DSLR. The photo was blended with texture using Picasa. /
