A beautiful show horse obeys every command the rider gives including sit, lay down and stay put all while the rider twirls his lariat in circles over and around it. One trick was when he made the horse lie down and he laid on him. Great show! This was at a southern New Mexico Horse Show. / These techniques are all used in cowboy duties and this horse shows how he helps the cowboy. It was shot on my / Cano Eos Rebel XTi with 28-300mm Tamron lens. I layered three different photos of this cowboy’s ride, into one file and added a layer of texture from the cement in our garage.. It took a lot of erasing on fine details of mane and cowboy gear, but it did all come together. I added a few splats with a watercolor brush, in colors that were neutral to the composition because I wanted the cowboy’s ride to shine out. / —-—-—-—-—-——- / Photos were taken at the Choteau, Montana, Fourth of July rodeo with a Canon 10D and 70-300 mm lens. Photoshop Elements 7 to put it all together.
