About This Group

This group is about looking at something… and seeing something else. At first glance the images here look like abstracts of paint or rocks or broken sticks and close-ups of mushrooms… but, a second look reveals a seascape… or a figure dancing… or the face of an animal. Look carefully. Do you see any faces looking at you? It might be a tree trunk… or a broken piece of concrete… or a household appliance! These are the hidden pictures of ACCIDENTAL IMAGES.

EXAMPLES OF THE KINDS OF IMAGES WE’RE LOOKING FOR… HERE!!
Remember those picture puzzles when you were a kid… find the HIDDEN PICTURES in this picture? That’s what we’re looking for! Things that you see in a photo after you’ve taken it… or something that you see when you’re looking through the lens… like a silly face in a tree bark… or a stain on a table cloth that looks like Madonna… and you capture the image. You probably already have some ‘Accidentals’ in your collection! They’re just waiting for you to discover them!

‘Accidental Images’ DOESN’T mean… pictures your camera takes when you think you’ve turned it off and you accidently bump the button… or that something happens accidently and you just happened to press the button at the right time. We can’t really tell if it’s an accident!

PLEASE DO put a description of what we’re supposed to see in the description box. Sometimes it’s hard to tell what it is you want us to see!
PLEASE DON’T manipulate your image to make it look like something it isn’t. A little sharpening or contrast is OK. Sometimes changing the color tone can help bring out the hidden image… but, please keep it to a minimum.

Please be sure to read the group rules presented to you before joining us !
It will help if you browse the gallery to get an idea when in doubt on submitting your artwork..

IT HAS TO BE ACCIDENTLY OCCURING… NO MANIPULATING THE IMAGE TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SOMETHING ELSE!
PLEASE PUT IN YOUR DESCRIPTION BOX WHAT IT IS WE ARE SUPPOSED TO SEE… OR NAME IT IN THE TITLE.
