CITY LIFE. / Guardian and child / Saunter down a neon damp avenue / Glazed eyes pierce vacant stillness / Tears fall on quivering lips that try to speak / Over hazy chromium orange wastelands / Little feet desperately try not to walk slowly / Only to be marched along faster. Distant siren across given parameter / With dribbling lead exhaust / Silenced black police car reverses to hide / Falcon panther waiting motionless / Ready to pounce out at crime. A drunk staggers by / Stooped back and long arms / Drag by his sides / Copying a zombie gorilla / Or half blind homing pigeon / He tries to grunt a way home / Passing out at his door / Oblivious to a stray dog / That urinates over his back. Chewing heavily menthol gum / Three girls wait impatiently on a corner / With tight skirts gripping their hips / Shrinking like fresh Howschwitz lampshades / Illuminated patrol car nears / As it passes menthol gum travels at high velocity / And spatters the police car windscreen. Helicopters circle less popular areas / With x-ray gun piercing lights / Searching alleys and hedge – row / For warm glowing dead owl criminals / Who fashionably snake about on bellies / Until police dogs slowly chew them away. After inserting 20,000 silicon chips / Into capital sonic computer equipment- / A factory shift worker travelling home / On electric powered push bike / Cruising slowly down a carriage way / Gets cautioned by a patrol car. As midnight ends and day begins / Sun light is parent, prostitute, drunk, criminal and friend / Wondering how different a human race / Prowling along centuries of dark time / Roaming animal not yet evolved / Living zoo without bed or home This poem became written after listening to the real sounds around a city after midnight.
This was taken from inside the Pizza Hut looking out upon ancient Egypt. I thought the contrast betweeen the modern day shapes and the ancient ones were interesting. It is interesting how culture has changed over time. / This was taken with a Canon AE1 film camera using 200 ASA film at a 60 shutter speed. ...President Obama made his inaugural speech? I was in a department store (J Lewis, if you must know), and like me, people forgot for a moment why they were there, and stood watching the broadcast rather than comparing TVs. There was even applause at the end! / AS IS, Fujifilm F31fd, f2.8, ISO800) /
Ecclesiastes 3:1-7: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” All photos and textures used are mine, blended together with the use of layers and various filters and a whole lot of time in Photoshop. Quan Yin is the Godess of compassion, it is said that she cannot die, til all people have held her hand…........... she has descendents, and they must also live forever for others. Of course all others will leave them, once their work is done, and descendents of Quan Yin will always be alone…................ forever. Quan Yins Prison
Walking towards the edge of a once flattened world, he realized his species sometimes need another consciousness which feels and sees the imaginary but possible paths living in more dimensions nowadays offers… That expedition sometimes requires to see things differently… In Einsteins world time is change… Nothing seems to be obvious. Although the boundaries of our imagination also seem to look quite endless I think it still requires more flexibility in looking at things to understand possibilities within change.
