Dear 60 and Beyond Members,

Christine and I had to come to a very suffered decision about the Group.

Christine, due to work and life mounting commitments, finds herself in the position of not being able to continue hosting the group.
For myself I am in a similar situation…..I can carry on, but not alone

The solution would be that, until I find the help of another co-host available to share the commitment, we will need to put the group “dormant”.

We have tryed to chug along in the last few months, but, as you have noticed, we have had no time to lauch challenges, keep the moderating queue to an acceptable level etc etc.

If any suitable member out there is prepared to make him/herself available – please bmail me; 2 members would be even better.
I sorely need one for the art section as I know nothing of painting and drawing – I can handle the photography part.

I will handle what is presently in the moderating queue, but as from now, no new work can be accepted until some member comes forward to share the work.

Please be patient and let’s hope we can resuscitate the group soon.

After seeing that a lot of our more prolific members were forced to leave and re-enter the group to be able to post more art, Christine and I have decided to increase the number of entries to the group to 20 !!!

Please help us on this as we are trying to showcase really all your BEST work !

We will regularly weed out the bottom pages of entries to the group – but we will let you know in advance when we intend to do it :)

I am here trying to “solicit” some more entries to be posted in our presently running challenge :) We have presently 12 entries

Which is not sooo bad considering that a lot of our members are in Australia/Southern US/ etc – not much chance of snow there !!

Does not have to be snow particularly – even rain,fog and warm clothes would do :)

As both Christine and I where a bit short on ideas we asked the winner of our last challenge Igor Zanin to proposed one, so here it is ! :

WINTER

DESCRIPTION Art works depicting winter thematic contrasted with something warm… for example open pit fire in the snowy setup, happy people in winter outdoors, warm clothing and cold winter landscape
