About This Group

For Canon afficionados, the EOS 5D MkII is a revolution. This Group seeks to inspire and act as a user support group as we utilize this camera in pursuit of “that great shot!”

Our mission is to foster a community dedicated to sharing the photographic process and recognizing the accomplishments of all levels of users of the Canon 5D Mark 2 camera.

Please note this Group only accepts artwork shot with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. To avoid the disappointment of rejection, there are simple rules applying to all submissions.

February Featured Artist: Ebyarts

Florists the world over are rubbing their hands at this time of year, so it’s only fitting for our February featured artist to be a past-master in floral photography. Known outside the Bubble as Viorica (a name as charming as her work), Ebyarts now lives in Canada, but hails from Romania where she trained extensively in fine arts and graphic design. Her influences, she says, are the Old Masters. Ebyarts joined the Bubble in October 2011.

These are her own words:

“One day my husband gave me a Canon Rebel with a macro lens. It was the most beautiful gift together my garden. It changed my life, I was back, it was me again. Now I use a Canon 5D Mark II with the same macro lens [the Canon 100 mm f/2.8 macro]. I love to grow flowers from seeds and bulbs, I love to watch them grow and I love to take their picture. Most of the flowers in my pictures are from my garden. Sometimes to be happy, you have to ask yourself what makes you happy in order to find out. I choose a simple life.”
