You have to be gay or gay-friendly to join. You don’t have to be a screaming queen or even necessarily a man. It helps if you identify yourself in some way through your work or your profile, but there’s no expectation that you must.
If you identify as a gay man then you’re free to submit any work you like. Any work produced by you will be of interest to this community.
If you’re just one of those awesome people who can see through the heteronormalisation and help us support diversity then you’re more than welcome to join, but please keep your submissions to material of interest to the community.
The term ‘gay’ is used inclusively. There will be no discrimination against anyone who has arrived at identifying themselves as gay via a journey across gender and sexuality boundaries.
To keep this bit of gay real estate a safe one we have to ask that if you’re interested in joining to shoot butchart or Alexander a bmail about it. We’re friendly guys and there’ll be no rubber gloves or cavity searches required.
Out of courtesy to other artists there is a loosely kept rule of two submissions per day per person. This stops the front page from being flooded. Variety is the spice of life. And it encourages everyone to submit only their best work. Break the rule and you’re liable to get a ‘rejected for no reason’ given. Its not personal. Its just tough love(without the bondage gear and whip).
