Roast apple filled with almond paste, raisins, cinnamon and a bit of sugar. Vanilla icecream and pancakes with honey aside … sinful – but magnificent! Bokeh effect

...Baxter had a penchant for fresh bread – and was caught red-handed running out of the kitchen with the WHOLE loaf in his mouth that he’d stolen from the kitchen bench!!!! For the home and hearth type groups I belong to. I baked these yesterday evening. Boy did my house smell deeeelicious! :) (This is my late grandmother’s recipe. She baked many a loaf of banana bread for the sick and home-bound people she knew and would take the grandkids with her to deliver every loaf. Nice memories that I think of every time I use her recipe.) You can bake this in a loaf pan or muffin tin. Banana Nut Bread or Muffins 2 c. flour / 1 tsp. baking powder / 1/2 tsp. salt / 1/2 tsp. baking soda Sift these 4 ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl combine and mix well the following: / 1/2 c. melted butter or margarine / 1/2 c. honey / 2 eggs, beaten / 1 c. mashed bananas Blend wet mixture into dry. Fold in 1 cup chopped nuts. Pour into 9-inch greased loaf pan or muffin tins (makes about 16 muffins). For loaf, bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F. For muffins, bake for 18 to 20 minutes at the same temperature. NOTE: I always add 1 tsp. vanilla when I bake this recipe. ~Sharon Kodak Easyshare CD1013 camera

From a different point of view…
This week I met another local entrepreneur who founded and runs the most delicious cupcake business called Fancie. We met in her café where she has kindly agreed to hang some of my paintings in the ramp up to Christmas. I was inspired by the feminine decor, the lovely colours and, of course, the yummy cupcakes. I just knew this was a place that Pearl would enjoy. 9×12 inch acrylic on paper / November 2009

This was taken at an event and is a macro shot of one of the dishes prepared for this event. This was taken with my Canon DSLR Digital Camera using my Canon 100mm Macro Lens and Canon Flash unit. No post processing, here.
Even the bubbles are there! Bonnes fêtes!
The top of an open pomegranate, the stamens are still there. I love this vibrant red colour , what a pity it’s full of seeds and this one’s not sweet.
