Do you have ideas for group contest themes?

Do you have ideas on fantasy art and wish to share?

By all means speak up and let the group know what’s on your mind. Groups are not groups if you don’t participate in the molding of this group’s direction.

like the idea of a fantasy theme, but can’t come up with anything other than ‘fantasy’ at the moment. LOL. will have a think and see what i come up with.

Well we could go with different types of creatures – Fae folk, elves, dwarves, etc. We could go with an RPG/gaming theme. Unicorns, dragons, castles and big scary monsters.

All wonderful ideas…. also places… such as underwater, alien worlds, Future, space, flight

how about the zodiac or Tarot ?

How about challenges?

Or weekly themes? Specific themes; not just ‘middle ages’ but perhaps “historical renditions of the 13-16th centuries” ... along with the fantasy versions?

We could do the RPG themes, too; break them down to specific versions. Forgotten Realms. Dragonlance, ect.

Or even video games-Assissin’s Creed, R.E., S.H. and such? Just tossing some out!

i think challenges is a great idea.. maybe we could vote on a winner and use the image as the group picture for a couple of weeks. would anyone like to arrange this?

hmmmm…challenges…great, but also remember that when you are creating them you need to be pretty broad or very explainative…lol.
Video games? Assassin’s Creed…what’s that lol.
Not all of us play games, not all of us…know any RPG themes!!!!
So they are great i would suggest that whoever posts a challenge…add a link as to…errr what the challenge is…lol.

I am all up for a challenge. Why not the Brothers Grim fairy tales. Or one you heard as a child. That kind of thing.

I would like to see an emphasis on challenging modern assumptions and myths, many of which are forms of propaganda. There is a huge assumption, for example, that we can trash this planet because there are lots more out there, but what if…?

Hi, I’m Redhawk (Winona). I am new to redbubble and this group. You have an interesting group. I noticed that no one has mentioned other countries myth, legend types of fantasy characters, example elves, leprechauns and such. maybe we could come up with a theme for the month on and each pic would have to say what country it came from. I have one which I do not believe anyone here is aware of. North American Indians of the Plains had oodies as their elves, leprechauns. Something different.

do you accept book summaries or reviews? Also it would be interesting if someone would start a contest on stories based on a popular fantasy game like heroes of might and magic, warcraft or the like, what do you think? Or maybe based on a quest, like the Hobbit or Everquest.
Any suggestions?

I’ve only just for the first time looked at Forums! Wow – how much I’ve missed.
I think that Hollywood has degraded witches and wizards far too much and I would like to see Beautiful Witches, Gorgeous Wizards and Naughty Faeries … er … of the winged variety! According to J.K. Rowling, not all faeries are good – so how about some fay faeries.

Im new to the idea but what about color themes that way everyone with different tastes can create something so long as it had that color interpretated to it or seasons as well???
