Circle of Life by Joanne Bradley
Taken in the late winter/early spring of 2005 with a Canon A75 at a boardwalk in the town of Ste-Marthe-sur-le-lac, Québec. This town is located next door to the one I live, on the north shore, opposite the island of Montreal. The horizon in the background is slightly off and unfortunately I do not have editing software to correct this at this time. However I will hope to do so in the future. Regardless, I think the shot has value for the focus on the naturally occuring circle. Although I could see the arc of the trees when I took the shot and that is what I was aiming to capture, it was an extremely sunny day and I did not anticipate that the circle would be completed with the reflection…

Winter Glow by beatlephan89
She was gazing up into the snow and I immediately knew that I wanted to capture her just as she was. This was spur of the moment, no posing or fake joy. Just a girl enjoying the snow flurry.

Winter dawn, Roseberry Topping From Aireyholme Pond by Robert Hardy
I did a mono version of this way back in January. With no new images to work on this week I decided to try a full colour version. I was so taken with it I now prefer it to the mono version so I thought I’d post it. It’s been given the HDR treatment. 3 images -2, 0, +2 processed with Dynamic Phot HDR software and tweaked for levels in Photoshop. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did taking it and processing it :-) / PS / Captain Cook worked at this farm when he was a boy so I’m sure he must have stood here by the pond and enjoyed the view!

Snowfall by Mark Wilson
Mid-April and we get a considerable covering of snow. Global warming, maybe? It provided a lovely crisp and sunny Sunday morning, but the sun made sure that the wintery scenes were not around for long as the majority of the snow had gone by midday.
